Remember when Rain won the MTV Movie Award for Biggest Badass Star and everyone was like “Who is Rain?” No? Well, you were smart to be watching Breaking Bad instead. Here’s the deal with Rain. He’s a Korean pop sensation with whom Stephen Colbert feuded in 2008 because both were up for the top spot in the Time 100. Stephen challenged Rain’s reign with his spoof video, “He’s Singin’ in Korean.” Then Rain actually showed up at The Colbert Report to look his “old nemesis” in the eye, and Rain and Stephen had a proper dance-off. Smoke machines, empty studio, tight red jeans on a respected newsman, a struggle to the near-death for Dance Dance Revolution domination, the works. This time he was DANCING in Korean! The takeaway from all of this is that 1) Stephen Colbert is hot; 2) Trivia: Rain played Taejo Togokahn in Speed Racer; 3) This is why every time it rains, I look to the sky, shake my fist, and yell “Raaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiinnnnnn!” Nerd.

Love him to bits. Both Rain & Stephen Colbert. Forget the pop singing and ninja movies,the amazing thing about Rain, as anyone who watched Full House knows, is that he is a really good comedic actor. Would love to see he in someting other than an action movie.
He was in a romantic comedy (with some action thrown in) called “I’m a Cyborg But That’s Okay”. It’s a Korean movie directed by Chan-Wook Park who directed “J.S.A” and the Vengeance Trilogy.

I thought oh someone is finally going to explain who Rain is… Someone should do an article on him. He is known as a World Star internationally yet here don’t know him. Also many don’t know TVXQ also a korean pop group who happens to have the worlds largest fanbase! pretty sad that they are unknown by most here as well. lol
I love Rain he is epic and he is a good dancer and has a nice body. I saw that episode of the colbert report and it was funny.
i like Steven. i like Rain more. far from being true Rain is highly intelligent and has produced songs in four, read that again 4 different languages (Japanese, Manadin, Korean and English) yep. i would never call Steven a “nerd”

Actually, I have been a Rain fan for years and first learned about Stephen Colbert because of Rain – both of them have benefited through their association. They seemed to really have fun filming that segment and I appreciate the nice things Stephen has subsequently had to say about Rain in this Discovery channel documentary (http://www.nofactzone.net/?p=11640)

I love Rain! How sexy and cool is he? Such talent and it’s not restricted to just being a bad ass dancer!
And now I love Colber, too! I just can’t can’t get enough of this clip and his “feud” with Rain. I wish to see more of these kind of feuds between them!
