*And not just because he wrote and directed the movie, which a press release describes as “politically incorrect and hysterically funny, in the style of Waiting for Guffman and Borat.”
Any other adjectives to describe how you feel when faced with the image of Shore’s character clutching two sobbing African orphans? And anybody planning to buy/rent this puppy when it hits bargain bins everywhere store shelves on June 15?

It doesn’t help that the look on his face makes it seem like he’s some sort of dim-witted kidnapper who just grabbed those two kids and took off running.
And no I would never see this movie. Ever.
OK That is some FUNNY sh!t and I don’t normally like this sort of thing or Mr. Shore. HAha.
But that’s his face though. All the time. Every day.
I am unashamed of my out and out love of Pauly Shore. Some people like Tom Cruise or Charlie Sheen as an actor, which makes no sense to me, but I love Pauly. I can quote the entirety of Bio-Dome in my sleep.
I’m totally willing to give this movie a chance.
Then you are an idiot.
You and me both.
I’m getting a little tired of this. I adopted two children from other countries and races. And like EVERY other adoptive parent I’ve ever met, we didn’t adopt because we needed fashion accesories, or something to do, or felt virtuous that day. We adopted to have a family. I hate to think how my kids will feel when they see this poster, or have to listen to the crap other kids will ‘joke’ about if they see this movie. Pauly Shore is a jerk. Yeah, mocking children and where they come from is hilarious. Even if is confused target is me, it’s going to hit my kids and I don’t think it’s funny.
Oh get over yourself. Not every thing is all about you. You don’t like it, don’t watch it. Its a comedy not a documentary…Duh.
its just a movie. if you dont like the content dont go see it. your kids are in america now and this is a good time to discuss that even if you dont agree on the message freedom of speech applies to everyone, even jerks!
I agree, Pauly Shore is a jerk. I worked in BioDomes in the early to mid ninties and I cant tell you the flak we got for that other crappy Pauly Shore movie. It’s a forgone conclusion that everyone in America, and their children, will be seeing this movie and will use it as an instrument to make fun of families with adopted children from other countries.
lol…. poor bio-dome workers!
i don’t think you have anything to worry about simply because NO ONE is going to see this
“in the style of Waiting for Guffman and Borat.” Because they’re about the same movie.
Excellent point…I never thought “Waiting for Guffman” was “politically incorrect.”
I’ll have to re-watch just to make sure – not that I need a reason to re-watch “Guffman.”
Anyone who dares to compare Pauly Shore to Christopher Guest should be publically flogged.
*And not just because he wrote and directed the movie” — did he also put up the money? If not, who do we blame?????
Val Kilmer.
This is very disappointing;I thought this guy was dead.
Poor form. The sad part is that I think you meant it to be funny.
Umm, Paule Shore’s first critically acclaimed “do it yourself” film was called Pauly Shore Is Dead.
Why bring race into it, would it be any different if they were two white children or babies of Asian origin?
no, but the plot of the mockumentary centers on him traveling to Africa or Haiti (forgive me. The exact specifics are lost to me) and searching for a child to adopt SPECIFICALLY because of Madonna and Angelina. It’s all about race. It’s right in the tagline
uuuuuuuuuuuh, yeah. actually it WOULD be different since i gather that’s the point of the whole movie.
I don’t think anyone was insinuating that the guy is racist.
I watched the trailer and actually laughed quite a bit (though I felt guilty through every second of it. I swear!)
I don’t think the film’s intended to be malicious. He’s a stand-up comedian and nothing’s off-limits for them. He just made a feature lengthy film based around the same kind of material. People need to relax and not take everything so seriously
A couple of years ago, I happened to be at a comedy club near L.A. and Shore made a special appearance. What was funny was the way he was introduced. The announcer seem way over excited (maybe he was being sarcastic) and when he finally said his name, only a few people clapped, and not even in a sincere way. Anyway, he did like almost a half hour of a show and it was painful to sit through, not only because he’s bad but because it was really sad.
To be politically incorrect is great. Too bad it had to be a no talent like Pauly shore. Shouldn’t he be dating another soon to be dead porn star?
My husband loves PS, therefore I have sat through my share of his stuff. He’ll probably insist on watching it if it ever gets to cable.
It’s about time someone called out these white celebrities who still want to own blacks.
This seems outdated. The joke “Celebrities adopt African children” was hot about 2 or 3 years ago. I’m sure it’ll be kinda funny, but it really just seems like a way for him to make a shock comedy film.
I made fun of Pauly Shore as much as anybody, his movies in the 90′s were terrible. But I did check out the movie he did a few years ago, Pauly Shore Is Dead, it was hilarious! Because of that, I’ll actually give this a shot.
