Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke were eliminated in Week 8. “Chad is the most humble guy you’ll ever meet. The most amazing, soft, gentle man in the world,” said Cheryl. “I’ll be here next year, as a professional,” said Chad. Eat it, football fans!

Yea! Another week of Nicole and Derek. They are the BEST!!! Don’t hate them because they are so good together. This is a dancing competition and not a popularity contest. It’s not Nicole’s fault the producers selected her for the show! In my opinion some of the nasty remarks and jealousy would not be worth my time. But, Nicole and Derek fortunately remain professional about it. I love them both for it! So, bit me ba’al. If you don’t like good dancing, then don’t want the show. Because it is a dancing competition. Are you jealous. STOP HATING ON NICOLE AND DEREK. YOU MAKE ME WANT TO PUKE!!!!

She also has prior dance experience, so it really isn’t fair that she’s in the competition.
If it was just a dancing contest, then just the judges voting would count and we wouldn’t be allowed to vote.
Also, someone can dislike a couple, and it’s not hate.
Derek and Nicole are completely non-appealing to me. I can acknowledge she is a good dancer, but I don’t like her (or Derek) and I have the right to my opinion.

That’s as it should be. While I like Chad he was the weakest of the four.
I did not enjoy the Joey Fatone/Melissa Rycroft dance. They weren’t very good!
While I liked Joey his season (I resented Melissa for not being enough of a “star” even by DWTS’s standards), I didn’t like the dance either. And Joey’s outfit, designed by that stone-faced guy in the audience, was dreadful. I don’t even mean the face paint and all that jazz – the clothing itself was terrible. Plus the dancing wasn’t great. They really do need to have the pros do these results night performances and the design-a-dance stuff. Joey/Melissa and the college dancers are just not bringing the goods. Though the second college group tonight was not bad…I don’t know, they just still don’t have the entertaining pizazz of the pros that dance. If I’m going to watch a results show, I want to see some really good dance performances along the way to make it worth my while. Whoa, sorry – that veered a little off topic from the original post I was commenting on.
I agree with your every word, even on Melissa being a nobody.
I wanted to like it! I really did! but it was just so blah. joey and melissa were fun on their seasons but the dance choice/song choice/costumes really brought them down. the tango?! it’s never one of the favs on the show, joey and melissa needed a jive or a samba, something upbeat where they can have fun and play off the audience.
I didn’t get the black outfits at all. They didn’t look good in the first place, and were too dark and fussy for the cameras. The show’s costumers do better work. Poor Joey and Melissa got thrown under the bus with those outfits.

Kristina please stop with the tired azz ringer nonsense. Every season we get this. Kristi, Sabrina, Staci, Evan, heck even Donny had previous dance. If you don’t like the rules complain directly to ABC. Since the the producers and ABC said they can compete then just get over it. It’s fair because the people running DWTS made the rules and said it is FAIR, so who are you to say it isn’t?

All these reality shows pretty much suck. I’d like it better if DWTS had qualified judges making the decisions like a REAL ballroom dancing competition, but those aren’t the rules so I have to enjoy it as it is.
Mortified–go to a wedding and enjoy the mediocrity you so wish for or look in the mirror!
If you don’t like DWTS, go watch NCIS with your Metamucil!
Can you READ, Jealous Much? I just wrote that I enjoy the show just AS IT IS!!! Whereinthehell did I say anything about mediocrity. I don’t have a problem with anyone, WITH ANY TYPE OF DANCE EXPERIENCE being on DWTS. So please make sure you know to whom the heck you are attributing comments. SHEESH!!!

The point is no one forces me to do anything. Since we viewers DON’T make the rules we do HAVE to enjoy a show the way it is or not watch. It’s America, baby! Freedom of choice! Maybe you need to dip your Binky in MY Metamucil. Might give you you some MATURITY and perspective. I guess this is what happens when parents let a seven year old use the Internet w/o supervision.

The fact that the competition is not really fair, 80yr. olds vrs. pro skaters, makes the show more fun and less serious. Great show! Glee edges it out.
Richard, Kurt called and wondered why you were late for watching “Glee”. 80 yr olds and pro skaters (other than Johnny Weir (d) ) are much more entertainable than you!

I hope Evan and Anna win! They have been consistently good, have listened to the judges without any complaining when they’ve been criticized, there is no drama or meltdowns during practice (and if anyone should be having meltdowns it would be them with the crazy schedule and traveling they’ve done)and Evan is not a professional dancer like Nicole is. Go Evan and Anna!!
Even is not a professional dancer? No…but hello…he has spent his whole life as a figure skater…that kinda counts as a dancer. duh.
No more than being a football player or other professional athlete. The disciplines are very different. They all require strength and flexibility which helps when dancing but it is not the same thing.

OMG – tell me it ain’t so! I knew that Chad would probably be going home, but I was hoping it would be Erin and her chicken legs. She is another person who irritates me as much as Kate Gosselin. Big mouth and never knows when to zip it. Oh well, she isn’t going to win anyway. She’ll be the next to go. I like Evan and Nicole, so I’m okay with either one of them winning, although I think that Nicole is slightly better than Evan.
Erin’s legs look more like frogs’ legs to me.
Obviously neither of you couch potatoes could move to prove Erin wrong–be nice!
