'Celebrity Apprentice': And the fired celebrity is...

In an episode that began with Don Jr. forgetting the name of the company sponsoring the task, and ended with a Boardroom war of words, another celebrity was shown the door. My full recap will be up at 2 a.m. (UPDATE: Click the link to jump to Dalton’s detailed Celebrity Apprentice recap), but if you’ve already watched tonight’s Celebrity Apprentice and can’t wait to sound off, then read on after the jump for more. [SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Sunday's episode of Celebrity Apprentice.]

That wily Donald Trump shook up the teams by forcing Bret and Curtis to switch sides in a task that involved refurbishing apartments for visiting executives. That forgetful Don Trump Jr. then shook up the show by neglecting to remember the name of the company that was sponsoring the entire affair, leading to some good-natured ribbing from his daddy. When all was said and done, the new RockSolid (Sharon, Maria, Curtis) beat the new Tenacity (Holly, Cyndi, Bret), leading to a Boardroom make-out session between Sharon and Curtis that was as awkward for us to watch as it was for them to perform.

After threatening to fire Holly for being the losing Project Manager, and threatening to fire Bret for having the smarts to not engage in a Holly-Cyndi squabble, and threatening to ask the question, “If you were me, who would you fire?” for the 845th time, Trump finally said sayonara to Cyndi, telling her to get the hell out while simultaneously thanking her repeatedly. Did Trump make the right call? And who is the favorite now to win the whole thing? Let us know what you think by sounding off on our message boards. Then come back at 2am for the full recap. Who cares about this show!!

    • yawn

      Totally.

      • Anoopfan

Holly should have been fired and not Cyndi.

      • Balithai

The theme Holly did was cheesy and cheap.

      • RockyRambo

Trump usually choose the most hated in every season of celebrity apprentice.

        CA1- Piers Morgan
        CA2- Joan River
        now
        CA3 – Holly Robinson

      • Dr Zechariah Zenith

Agree. Trump should have fired Holly.

        Cyndi was right.

    • Anoopfan

At least you guys were kind enough to still care.

But I agree with you guys since Trump always make the wrong decisions 90%.

Not to mention this show is scripted especially when they crown Joan Rivers.

This year is more likable with pleasing personalities like Bret, Curtis, Maria and Sharon. Everybody hates Holly.

  • derek

Amusing that you have “spoiler warnings” in the body of the post but the URL has “Cyndi Lauper” in it, which is kind of a clue as to who the firing is….

  • ??

WHY didn’t anyone bring up the facts that they “HATED” everything Holly did?? She should have been fired. I miss when Trump use to bring those facts to the table.

    • mike

I agree they loved Cyndi’s room they loved beret’s photos they
      HATED Holly’s NASTY GREEN ROOM!!
and the fact that it was so jam packed.

      • Anoopfan

Agreed. Trump’s decision could be a preview that Holly is in the finale.

When things become illogical then the logic is somewhere down the line.

    • Rules-Schmules

Exactly. If she wanted so much credit for the good room, she has has to take so much blame for the bad rooms. And there was more bad than good.
But when did this show ever make sense? The guy’s looking for characters on a show, not rules to a game, and Cyndi pretty much is maxed out by now. But sea-foam? Really?

    • Janet

I thought the same thing, everything else that holly did, the green paint, too much furniture, didn’t make it into the argument. She basically took credit for the red room , when it was the paint color she picked… Big deal. She also picked the hideus green paint that they hated! They didn’t just love the red paint. Cyndi got jipped. Holly should have gotten fired. Nothing she did, was anything they liked. Shes had it out for Cyndi from the beginning.

    • Ambient Lite

Exactly! I couldn’t believe NO ONE brought up the very simple fact that Holly’s every move led to their failure (and NOTHING else)! How did that happen??? And in what universe should Bret being fired have even come into play??? That was SO weird.

  • h Whitely

Donald, you made a mistake in firing Cyndi as she did her job well. A good manager should be able to manage all types and Holly did not do that well. Secondly, Holly chose the theme – poor, chose to put too much furniture etc/ She did not do her job. I am your fan but your decision making on this one was very WRONG. You change your criteria for firing too often. Up till now I have been right with you. Holly is a great person and has done exceptionally well but not in this exercise.

    • mike

WOW from the first episode till now!I have agreed with Donald.but the fact that Cyndi is gone and holly is still on. it is not right!!
BIG MISTAKE Donald #1 holly was project manger #2 they HATED holly’s green room and most of every ting she did!
      SORRY BUT DONALD YOUR (FIRED)!!

      • Janet

Totally agree, Donald, bring Cyndi back. Fire holly. Go back to every reason that team lost…,, all hollys doing

      • Balithai

I agree. Donald is dumb sometimes.
There are so many reason to fire Cyndi previously but he didn’t. Now, he fired her because he wanted to keep Holly.
        Holly should have been fired.

  • dally

As soon as I saw that seafoam green room…. yikes!! Zen’s a nice idea, but that shade is 1980s Sears, and I LOVE green.

  • Laura

Okay. I DO want to sound off. How in the hell did Holly escape this one? She was the one who project managed the debaucle. She chose the Zen, the Sea Foam bedroom, the cheap furnishings. How did they completely not even ever talk about that? I usually enjoy the show and generally agree with the decisions, but this was unfathomable. Why did it not even come up? Terrible and totally wrong decision. Holly should be long gone. She’s a controlling egomaniac. I can’t believe she gets away with this every time. Arrgh.

  • Tom in STL

As soon as I saw the cast list for this show before it premiered, I said to myself “Sharon is going to win this thing.” I will be really surprised if she does not win.

    • sam

I agree. And notice how she was able to miss so many challenges when she was sick but Michael certainly could not come back, according to Trump, because it “wouldn’t be fair.” Fun to watch, but totally set up.

      • etm

Sam, I was thinking about that when he thought about firing Bret for missing part of the challenge. He had no problem when Sharon missed a bunch when she was sick.

  • Davey

Why is this show still on? Everytime I try to watch a segment I immediately change the channel.

  • andy

when the one guy in the board room said that bret should be fired i screamed at him (at the tv), because bret did everything he could have done to make this challenge a win, but the dude playing a frickin concert the night before on 2 hours of sleep and still did great work. Bret is not going to win this, but he is by far the most entertaining celebrity on here. It also pisses me off that Sharon was gone for like 2 challenges and bret was gone for like 12 hours. Trump also failed to realize that this was by far the most boring of the challenges. Pray to god bret makes it to the finale!

  • Donna Bland

Holly is overbearing, bossy, and never once showed Cyndi any respect. HOLLY PICKED THE SEAFOAM GREEN THAT THE JUDGES HATED!!!

    • Joan Gillespie

I agree. Holly is a two-faced witch. Even before the task began, she told Cindy to her face that she was surprised that she wasn’t sent home the week before!

      • nononesense

agree, holly is full of crap. she says things about cyndi that describes herself more than not. im dissapointed at bret he thought of that way about cyndi

    • Balithai

      Agree. Everyone hates Holly.

  • Ryan in Orlando

Should have been Project Manager Holly. If the firing was a result of the color of the Celebrity Room being Holly’s idea and not Cyndi’s, then what about the fact that the executives HATED the color of the bedroom that was also Holly’s idea. Should have been Holly fired.

  • Jon

Poor Cyndi, if she had said “We lost this task because of Holly not me”, then it would have been Holly walking to that cab. Holly is such a condescending and abrasive person, ugh.

  • ggirl

I also agree that Holly should have been fired instead of Cindy. Instead of focusing on the reason the team lost(the green room and too many accessories), all they argued about was the room that was the best and who was behind it which was not the reason they were on the chopping block. Holly was project manager plain and simple and she should be accountable like most everyone has been in the past. In my opinion, they’ve already chose who is going to win this season because she has raised the most money so far and she is the best at throwing the blame on everyone else.

  • Rose Pavone

I watch anymore if Cindy is gone. Holly is condescending and disrespectful and thinks she’s better than everyone else.

  • lynn

Trump fired the wrong person-Hollie’s whole concept didn’t win-the seafoam green lost big. So she “gave” Cyndi the red room idea-the red paint isn’t what won the room-it was what Cyndi did to make the room come alive! Cyndi was right in there painting and hauling furniture. Yes, she is hard to direct at times-but a skilled manager could handle Cyndi. Which Hollie isn’t. Hollie is just a b—-h. Hollie was a PM and should have been fired!

    • Her name is Holly. Dumbass.

      • ginger vitis

Hey … (aka Holly), it’s realllllllllllly NOT that deep!
