'Twilight Saga: Eclipse' will premiere at L.A. Film Festival

EclipseImage Credit: Kimberley FrenchMark June 24 in your calendars, Twilight fans: That day marks The Twilight Saga: Eclipse‘s world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Of course, it’s an invitation-only event, so none of us can actually expect to see the film — or be there to measure the current length of Rob Pattinson’s hair — but at least we’ll see plenty of red carpet vampire-werewolf hotness, right?

After all, we only have to wait six days to line up at our local multiplexes in anticipation of the film’s June 30 release. (And at least it will be a lot warmer than last November, when we waited in chilly weather for New Moon.) But what will it take to get a Twilight film to premiere in Forks, Wash.? And what’s your game plan for trying to crash the L.A. premiere?

The length of Robert Pattinson’s … hair? Yeah, that is what I am interested in.

  • Celia

So this movie is still happening then?
From what I heard, the re-shoots didn’t go so well. And Slade now loathes Pattinson.

    • dizzy

Lol, who knows, it might be gossip. But I heard something very similar as well. That he was late and was acting like a diva. It could all be gossip but the whole thing sounds laughable.

      • Celia

Yep. from Lainey Gossip. She’s from Vancouver and has inside sources, so I trust her to an extent.

      • dizzy

        Yes, that’s the source!

      • Sue

The key word is ‘Gossip’. Don’t believe everything you read! She’s been wrong a lot!

According to Slade it was an unsubstantiated rumor with no basis in fact. Since when has a Vancouver blogger had any credibility at all? Strange if the reshoots didn’t go so well that they were able to finish them in two days. Strange that no one on the inside on any of Rob’s films have ever even hinted that he is not a great guy to work with. I guess if you want to be noticed you make up some junk about someone in the public eye a lot so that you can ride on the coattails of their celebrity. To bad anyone puts any stock in this at all.

It’s so cute. It’s like they think it’s a real movie!

    • J

Lol! Im a fan, but that funny :)

    • Marie

      lol
i’m sure the marketing plan goes something like this: even though the first two films weren’t that good, as long as the film gets heavily promoted, (with the help of websites like EW), we might get people to forget the low quality of the first two films and spend their money on it anyway.

      • ShariG

Loved the first two films. I don’t know where you get that they were low quality. From the trailers released so far Eclipse looks to be technically even better. EW writes about it because millions of fans are waiting for the information. Promotion often follows demand.

  • Giselle

Not measure the current length of Rob Pattinson’s hair measure Taylor Lautner’s hair instead (IS EVERYONE FORGETING ABOUT TAYLOR LAUNTER!!!!!!!COME ONE HES SSSSSSOOOOOOOO CUTE AND HES A HOTTIE!!!!!!!!!

    • Sammie

      Go to school child!

  • Shanna

FYI Summit Entertainment has said this isn’t true. See eclipsemovie.org

  • maryh

Who hasn’t had a diva day or two. See any man putting together a DIY cupboard or woman trying on clothes. Hollywood is full of them. Hollywood and the public have thrown this man into the spotlight 24/7 give the man some slack. No one gets on with everyone. Russell Crowe threatened to kill his director and Gladiator was his turnaround movie that made him. The important thing is the finished product.

  • Kim

Yay, millions of dollars wasted to make a horrible movie!

  • Jack M

The LA Film Festival doesn’t seem all that cool anymore.

  • Shiny

Didn’t this movie already come out?

  • Andy

I’ve been to Forks, WA. There is not a single Movie Theater there, so you will probably never see the premier be held there. There has to be a theater to host a premier.

  • ShariG

Well you have done it again, EW, why the picture of Bella and Jacob to accompany this article when this entire saga is essentially a love story between Bella and Edward. What do you have against the amazingly handsome, talented and exceptionally nice Rob Pattinson? I can’t wait for this film to be released. Wish I would have any chance of being at the premier, but I am so sick of EWs favoring Taylor Lautner in every online article. What’s the deal??? Hasn’t anyone told you, it isn’t about him?
