The Office and Extras co-creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are collaborating on a new 30-minute, single-camera sitcom featuring Warwick Davis, the “diminutive thesp” from Star Wars and Harry Potter, reports Variety. It’ll be called “Life’s Too Short” and follow the 3 ft. 6 in. actor in his day-to-day life “in a small world where big things happen,” according to the BBC. Gervais and Merchant will appear in minor roles. No word on whether that other bloke they’re obsessed with, Karl Pilkington, will show up, too. Maybe just his animated, perfectly spherical head (from HBO’s The Ricky Gervais Show) should float around, commenting on things. Life’s too short for that not to happen, too.

Pshhhhhhhhh “Harry Potter actor” indeed! I believe you mean “Star Wars” and “WILLOW” actor. [Insert playful wink here in probably-vain attempt to ward off pissy comments about how he WAS in HP and no one knows "Willow" any more.] Anyways, Warwick Davis will always be, first and foremost, Willow. To me, at least. Secondarily he played Wicket the Ewok as a kid (and cameo’d in the Phantom Menace). I think of his Harry Potter work as “Warwick-Davis-who-was-Willow plays Professor Flitwick, whose age appears to drastically change across the movies…” Faux outrage at the actor’s description aside, I’m glad he’s getting some good work, because I am a total Warwick Davis fan!

Yeah I think of him as Willow too. But my favorite Warwick role has to be his cameo on Gervais’s Extras when Ricky and him got into a fight.

I think Walt is just huffed that eW didn’t mention all of the ‘W’ titles on WarWick’s resume. That, and his obsession with WarWick Davis! You should see tree carving – W + W 4ever!

Although when you described our tree carving, you left out the part where we drew a heart shape around the whole thing, surrounded by a bark etching of Val Kilmer shirtless, as he gloriously spent a good part of “Willow”. Holy crap, I have such irrational love for that movie.

LOVED Daniel Radcliffe on Extras. Also loved Ben Stiller, Kate Winslet, David Bowie (Little fat man with the pug nose face! Pug! Pug! Pug! Pug!) and really everyone who was on Extras.

In the words of a denizen from the borough of Kings; *you gotta be kiddin* about that title. He*s too good of an actor to accept that type of pun. Yet, consider the sources on who the show runners are. Looking foward to see it, though.
