'Project Runway': Designs you'd wear?

sethaaron-jackets-project-runwayImage Credit: Barbara Ntike/Lifetime TelevisionThis is it! Seth Aaron, Emilio, and Mila will attack each other with wire hangers (in their minds) on tonight’s season finale of Project Runway. I love the show and appreciate the judges’ comments, but I don’t ultimately care what would work “editorially” or on an actual runway. My favorite moments of the show occur when the designers produce something I’d want to wear myself. It’s all about me! (Can you picture me popping into the opening credits to declare that in triumph? If so, sorry.)

This season, I loved Emilio’s first purple-patterned dress and even a few of Mila’s crazy black and white coats. But my ultimate obsession: Seth Aaron’s jackets! Be still my heart! Pop my collar! Make me edgy (with watermelon pockets)! I could watch an entire spinoff season of Seth Aaron’s Jackets. Do it, Lifetime!

Who should win tonight — and is he or she the one whose designs you find most wearable?

P.S. I am also a little obsessed with Valeria!

I love Seth Aaron! His sense of style is perfect. If only he made men’s clothes!

  • Ed

I like Emilio. He’s had his moments where he’s gotten on my nerves, but overall, I’ve really liked his work and have agreed with what he’s said.

Check Tim Gun’s Facebook page for his video blog. You’ll quickly change your mind about Emilio. He’s personally atrocious and his finale collection is one big choke….Candy apple red! Pea green! Hideous prints! Blech blech blech

      • Amy

I know, he’s been so mean to Tim and that’s just not acceptable!

      • linda

Shut the f*ck up dude people have their opinions! And Tim deserves the sh*t he gets! He gives the WORST advice!

      • Brenda Barrett

@Linda — You sound as classless as Emilio. All I can say is: Seth Aaron won and you and Emilio can s*ck it.

I agree Emelio, was great, but those meltdown’s tonight were not expected. Guess they can all bow out like ANTHONY

  • Kristi

His jackets are what made me a SA fan… he should do a just jackets line!

    • Brenda

I totally agree. And the glimpses we saw of his jackets when Tim visited him made me swoon. I would buy all of them.

  • justjack

    Of these three, definitely SA.
But I still want that dress Ben made about halfway through the season….!

Having cheated I can tell you that Emilio’s Howard Johnson inspired separates don’t make the cut.
Love Seth Aaron, but his Kremlin/3rd Reich hair and make-up was completely off-putting for me. He may win…was interesting, but my vote goes to Mila…loved all.

There have been some thing Emilio has done that I would wear and zero of Mila’s that I would. Seth Aaron’s style is not really my thing, but I really hope he wins. He’s the most likable left and you can’t deny his craftsmanship and point of view.

I really wish Jonathan was still here though. The judges mostly didn’t get him but would wear his winning design in the elements challenge in a heartbeat.

    • KC

I’d also like to add that from what little we’ve seen of Emilio’s final collection…ugh, not good.

    • Anna

I LOVED Jonathan’s elements dress! It was so gorgeous, and inspired and unlike anything I’d ever seen before. I’d wear it in a second. I miss him on the show too. He was so sweet and funny. I’ll never have the same regard for the judges again after they tore into him for daring to take chances.

      • Erin

Me too! I loved that dress. And it looked lovely on the model. Jonathan was great.

  • Megan

I liked Emilio first purple frock…but Im a Seth Aaron fan! He’s just so creative.

Mila is horrible. She has one idea: black and white color blocks. Can’t stand her personality, either.

    • Rose

Totally agree. It bugs me so much that the judges failed to notice that EVERY week she basically produced the same thing over and over again. She has no versatility, and is way too stuck up for her own good.

  • AD

Wow, a whole 8 comments while American Idol has hundreds. Not too much interest in PR I guess.

    • Tookie

AD, this was just posted less than an hour ago, in case you didn’t notice.

  • Evie

I totally agree! I like to see things that I can say, “Oh, I’d wear that!” Some are visually really pretty and all but having something normal and everyday is nice too.
They’re all really good designers. I just hope that Mila puts a little color in there. Black and white can get awfully monotonous sometimes.

  • Anna

I love Seth Aaron’s jackets as well. They’re so well made and edgy. I wold definitely buy them. Seth Aaron for the win!

    • Anna

      *would. Darn typos.

  • Tookie

    Seth Aaron FTW!

  • Adrian

Seth Aaron all the damn way! Emilio is a pompous no-talent hack and Mila is BO-RING in black and white. This show needs to redeem itself tonight, big time.

  • Tanya

I think Seth Aaron is definitely the best. Emilio is so impressed with himself that I hope he gets sent packing.

  • Amy

For myself, I personally prefer Emilio’s clothes. I think that he knows women’s fashion better than the other two designers. Seth Aaron’s jackets are to die for and he’s an excellent tailor, but his stuff is a little bit Hot Topic for me. Mila – I see nothing knew with what she’s doing. It’s not relevant to the current fashion scene and it’s all so repetitive.
I’d be happy to see either Emilio or SA win, maybe even SA for his consistency.

    • Brenda

I think Emilio is very talented, but his personality is growing hard to bear. Seth Aaron deserved more wins during the season, however, he got to Fashion Week and now he can take it all. I do like some of Mila’s work — I’d buy the coat from her collection of three pieces, and in the real world, people do wear a lot of black and white.
