Image Credit: Comedy CentralComedy Central’s South Park celebrates its 200th episode Wednesday night. The plot: Every celeb the show has ever dissed bands together to file a class action lawsuit against the Colorado town. Watch a clip after the jump and tell us which celeb you’re most excited to see return: I was surprised that I got a little teary-eyed over Mecha-Streisand.
Boing Boing has a video interview with co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone (also embedded after the jump). It’s naturally NSFW as the duo talk about “the headf—er” of revisiting their greatest controversies in an all-new storyline, which, if they have their way, will include showing the Prophet Muhammad. Comedy Central wouldn’t allow them to show an image of Muhammad in the 2006 season 10 two-parter “Cartoon Wars” following the Danish cartoon controversy – but as diehard South Park fans know, Muhammad was already seen in the 2001 Season 5 episode “Super Best Friends.” It’s a fact that Parker says Stan will remind us of in the 200th episode when he says, “I’ve met him. I met him a long time ago.” (He’s also been seen as a tiny, tiny image in the show’s opening credits.)
At the time of the interview, Parker and Stone had just notified Comedy Central about the plotline and were preparing for, let’s say, discussions. “We’d be so hypocritical against our own thoughts, if we said, ‘Okay, well let’s not make fun of them because they might hurt us,’” Parker said. “‘Okay, we’ll rip on the Catholics because they won’t hurt us, but we won’t rip on [Muslims] because they might hurt us.’”
Bonus video: A really NSFW live-action “Real South Park”commercial advertising the show on Dutch Comedy Central.

I hope Comedy Central doesn’t wuss out and lets them mock Muhammed. Don’t let the terrorists win. I also want to send a big congratulations to Trey and Matt for the show. South Park has been one of my favorites since they started and Bigger, Longer, and Uncut is still the funniest movie I have ever seen.
FIRST This has been an outstanding season so far. I can’t wait for tonight’s episode.
First? You were an hour late!
The writer teared up over the re-appearance of Mecha-Streisand. I did too, as well as dear lil Sally Struthers!
Kinda sounds like the finale of Seinfeld.
It’s only had 200 episodes? For some reason I thought it would have more. It’s been on for such a long time.
Bands together. Not “bans”.
“Let’s hear it for teacher being a lesbian!”
Sad. Comedy Central chose to censor. Cowardly.
Cartmans dads either cartman himself (sometwisted plot), kyles dad or muhammaded because they couldnt say who it really was… but then cartmens not arabic! they better not do one of those joke episodes where u get a terrance and phillip special =’( in the middle of an epic sequel.
i have a feeling his dad is alphonse mephisto. he is fat, crazy, and he was the one in charge of eric’s dna. and hes one of the old characters that hasnt beeen shown at all in “200″. you follow me?
First!
There’s no need to show Prophet Muhammed. It’s not about the terrorists or extremists, it’s just really rude to all Muslims.
I think islam is made up of perverted bigots. Praise Paco!
Ooooh…hot babies! That will get me to come to your website. Do you possibly mean “hot babes”?
