'The Kids Are All Right' trailer: Relax the tongue

The Kids Are All Right is a coming-soon comedy from director Lisa Cholodenko, starring Annette Bening and Julianne Moore as a married lesbian couple in California. Their kids — Mia Wasikowska and Josh Hutcherson decide to find their biological father, and heyyyyyyyyy, guess what? It’s Mark Ruffalo, man, right on. He loves lesbians. Peace, love, and understanding ensue. Ruffalo’s character seems like he’ll be on board with the family’s well-instilled hugs-f0r-everyone policy. As you’ll see from the trailer (embedded after the jump), Entertainment Weekly calls the film “fun, sexy, and smart!” and says “it charms audiences into a state of enlightenment!” You just have to relax the tongue. To quote Roger Daltrey “I don’t mind … other girls dancing with my girl” … wait, what?

Wow an original comedy with a great cast, non of which have ever been involved in any Judd Apatow garbage masquerading as comedy. Annette Bening back in a comedy. This must be an April Fool’s joke right? This looks great.

It’s great to see Hollywood being more inclusive in its themes. (Thank you Annette Bening and Julianne Moore for your part!)

I think Cholodenko is an excellent filmmaker. I really look forward to this one. I love how fresh and creative she is, as well as how she’s not afraid to tackle contemporary storylines.
