Tiger Woods commercial parodies: It has begun

There may have never been a video better suited for viral parody than Tiger Woods‘ new Nike commercial. First, everyone has seen it (right?). Second, the video is just the golfer standing there looking contrite, not speaking, not really even moving, so you can drop in any audio you like and have it speaking at Tiger. And finally, it’s Tiger Woods, which means celebrity sex scandal, which means built-in yucks and massive clickability. The good folks over at PopEater compiled a bunch of these parodies for us, and we added a few more below. My personal favorite is the “David After Dentist” version: “Kinda felt good, didn’t it?” Ha.

Enjoy these, and let us know what else is out there.

“David After Dentist”

“Homer Simpson”

“Rick Roll”

“Lion King Remix”

“The Tiger voice mail”

ESPN’s “SportsNation spoof”

“Boondocks Season 3 Promo” (NSFW)

Twisted Sister

American Psycho

I agree – you people need to get a life and quit feeding on the errors of
others – Have YOU ever made a mistake?

      • jen

Janet — We’ve all made mistakes. But most of us don’t make a creepy TV ad about it!

WTF EW?!?!? this post just wasted 20 seconds of my life, thank-you. It’s seriously sad if you guys find any of this comical or even interesting. For sh!ts sake..

When I first saw this, I thought it had to be viral. I kept expecting Linda Blair to pop up at the end and scare the bejeesus out of me.

I like the Lion King one. It is a more “genuine” parody, since it is still a father speaking to the son. Great compilation of clips! The original Tiger commercial, I still think, was a bold move. Students of advertising will study it for years, (and all of the spoofs too).

I wonder: if he wins this weekend, can we all just let it go and focus on the golf again? Or just drop all this nonsense with the extra crap.

I think this horse is officially glue… I’m not defending his behavior, but after the past shenanigans of Kobe Bryant and Ray Lewis, the amount of crap associated w/ Tiger is mind-boggling.

You can focus on golf, what do oyu care what everyone else does? Tiger’s a douche bag. Just because other people are too deosn’t get him off the hook. Ray Lewis also not a valid comparison, maybe Michael Vick is a better one.

NO. I want his out of my consciousness and off my TV screen in ANY form. He deserves every scrap of this derision and doesn’t get to be excused this easily or quickly.

  • bunker

the last one is the best

Here’s some satire: newly revealed texts proving Tiger’s a great husband http://bit.ly/cJldIF
