After hitting a series high with last night’s conclusion of the two-part serial killer event (14.5 million viewers, the Alphabet’s best scripted performance in the time slot in 14 years), word came today that ABC has renewed the show for a 22-episode third season. That’s the power of Rick Castle/Nathan Fillion’s charm (they really are one in the same) and of a smart, sexy woman packing heat (Stana Katic). Let’s also give props to ABC for giving the show time to grow and a solid lead-in. (Cough, Better Off Ted, cough.)

ABC cancelled Pushing Daisies. ABC can go to hell.
Little known fact: in the Lost flash-sideways world, Pushing Daisies is a hit show! And pizza isn’t fattening. Firefly is a major TV franchise (with spinoffs), and my cats never claw the sofa. I want to live in that world!!!

Think about it, FOX already has the best show on tv after LOST in FRINGE, and there is a chance Conan could be coming – renew Human Target (a wonderful action show throwback to the days before CSI like shows came to pass) and bring back Spike Ferenstein and FOX will be the best network

i agree 100%!! ever since abc cancelled Pushing Daisies, one of the best shows ever, I have hated abc ever since.
They can redeem themselves ever so slightly by renewing Better Off Ted.

Even though I wasn’t a DSM fan, that was a 1-2-3 MISTAKE! And then, they went and cancelled Ugly Betty this year. ABC is nothing but a bunch of idiots.
I agree deb. ABC finally did something right in keeping “Castle” after canceling “Pushing Daisies” and “Eli Stone.” “Pushing Daisies” was one of the best shows and now they got it through their heads to let other shows have a chance and the beneficiary is Castle! Hooray!

I love Chuck. It is one of my can’t miss shows. I almost cried when Morgan found out about Chuck and was excited. I didn’t want him to be mad at Chuck. Love IT!

Chuck! Definitely! It’s one of the few shows that willingly takes chances and changes. They could have drawn out the season 1 premise forever, but they’ve evolved and I really love them for it.
Oh, and seeing Morgan, Awesome, and Casey unite forces to help Chuck win back Sarah was priceless.

Put me in for Chuck as well. I’ve been watching since the 1st episode and I’ve never given up on this show. I’m upset the ratings have been sliding. A rerun of HIMYM beat it on Monday. Not good.
BETTER OFF TED!!!!!! There is SaveBetterOffTed.com and a facebook page with a lot of fans trying to get ABC to save this wonderfully original comedy. I honestly don’t know what I would do without this show. Thank god for TV shows on DVD.

Better Off Ted and Chuck. Chuck is just awesome and Chuck Bartowski has officially surpassed Keith Nelson from Some Kind of Wonderful as my fictional dream man. Better Off Ted is the funniest show on network tv hands down. The last time a network show had me in tears from laughing was.,…ummm…..

I love both Chuck and BOT. I agree that Chuck is pretty awesome–every time I see him this season, I think, “Wow, Zach Levi looks even better this year than last year!” I gotta give Brandon Routh some love because he’s an Iowan and, well, Superman, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty, it’s Zach/Chuck all the way.

Sorry if tonight is what “V” was fixed to be. I think they wanted it dead. Editing and pace is flat and they seem to have destroyed all the cool sets and replaced them with Virtual sets rendered on a Wii. I was soo looking forward to V. I fear after tonight it is a short slide into budget PC script management hell.
ABC spent all the money hyping it and on the original production, then after a few shows of with a message about people adoring a charismatic leader too much and suddenly they under promote it and cut the budget and we have scripts that totally walk away from the orginal premise. And turn Charming Anna into creepy boring Anna. ME smells an agenda at ABC.
I gotta admit I love Flashforward. It’s got some great, great actors in it, and though I haven’t loved every storyline equally, it’s really got me hooked. I know its chances aren’t huge, but I’m hoping!!!!
I love FlashFoward too! Hoping it doesn’t get cancelled. Also, I’m rooting for Life Unexpected and Cold Case to not get cancelled.
I don’t even understand Life Unexpected being on the bubble. It is consistently one of the best shows on the CW and it has some of their highest ratings. It SHOULD NOT be cancelled.

I love Flash Forward too. Not sure why it has so many haters. It’s a pretty solid, consistant show. And more people need to be watching Fringe as well.
