I blame the marketing company for this. I had never heard of this film until I saw it sitting on the shelf of my local Blockbuster. Reading that this movie was actually reviewed by Owen shocks me. I must have missed the internet that week because I never saw his review…
I actually saw quite a few trailers for this movie. I’m not saying it was everywhere but it was advertised. I remember it looked…not good…
Poor Uma, she statrted off the decade so great with Kill Bill and now…She really needs to do something of intrest and soon.
This is so sad. Kill Bill 1&2 is (are?) amongst my favorite movies.
Why do they still make crap like this? SO insulting to women!
Kill Bill 3 could work, but when I saw this headline I immediately thought “pay-cable series.” With the right project, she could raise her profile and keep working in movies.
Kill Bill should have been 1 film. There was no where near enough material for two movies, best shown in the fact that the end of Kill Bill pt 1, from the momeent The Bride starts chopping her way through Japan we just get at least twice as much footage as there should be. Pt. 2 was much better but having been bored to death by pt 1 (and me a card carrying multi-style Kung-Fu and Karate practitioner, who loves most things martial arts). If Kill Bill
Y’know, she’s still pretty hot and she’s not old. She needs to do something to show off her sexuality.
She’s made, what, 2 good movies in her life? Maybe it’s time she gives up. Not that I blame her for Motherhood. The trailer did not show me a movie I wanted to see, it looked really depressing.
It’s probably just a marketing problem. Ask ten people if they even heard of this movie, and I imagine they’d all say no. I’d say no, and I even read that review when it came out… and forgot it already. The “airplane movie” comment probably is the most accurate assessment.
She makes bad movies. Period. It’s obvious that people don’t enjoy her acting, or her for that matter (unless she’s paired up with Tarantino). Why can’t she take some good supporting roles?
She looks a bit too much like Sarah Palin…that alone makes me not want to see the movie, nevermind the plot.
I am a mom of two who, yes, RENTED this movie from one of those dollar machines at the grocery store when my husband was out of town. Eh, it was what I expected. Drama about the big city life (did I mention that she and her husband own TWO NYC apts right next to beach other in the film?) Everything was overly important and overdone for effect. It was like getting together with a friend you haven’t seen in a while, and then remembering why you don’t call her much anymore.
I cant wait for Bel Ami with Robert Pattinson!
I loved his new movie Remember me,
and he is also good, he earned 46 million $ so far
