I was thinking, guiltily, that I haven’t really missed Melrose Place during its three-month hiatus, but now The CW has lured me back in with this teaser of the complex complex’s newest resident. Hello, Dr. Drew! (No, not that one.) Let’s face it, a new box of pool tiles would be more interesting than Auggie, but this guy is much better than the Auggster: a) he is playing a character with an actual human personality and b) Nick Zano (the Cougar Town hottie!) doesn’t seem to share an acting teacher with Ashlee Simpson. I’ll let the vampire joke slide just this once, because he’s a hot doctor who also plays beer pong.
I thought I was over it, but now I am definitely going to watch tonight and see what trouble will be stirred up by Amanda and Ella. Anyone else excited for the return of Melrose tonight?

Just shoot this show out of its misery for Christ Sakes! The cast of “Twilight” couldn’t save it at this point.
Melrose Place isn’t bad. It’s good fun and needed on tv. It’s the only show I watch on the CW.

Melrose Place 2.0 is not that bad. Like 90210 last year, the showrunners think it just take a bunch of hot guys and girls and the name of a successful TV series of last century to make a hit show.
And just like 90210, MP 2.0 deserves a second shot. CW should hire a showrunner who has a real vision of what should be MP in 2010. Ella, Jonah, David and “Pretty Woman” (forgot her name…three monts hiatus to blame) should be the four aces. Get rid of the others. Stop hiring MP veterans (Love Heather but it’s Ella’s time to shine), just keep the one and only Dr Mancini.
This show started off pretty bad, but once Amanda showed up it got AMAZING. Just like the original!

So glad people are praising Melrose Place for a change – I’m sick & tired of people dissing this show non-stop – give it a chance people – it’s a great show with lots of potential!
I actually like Melrose place and 90210, just give it a chance, and i’m sure you’ll get into it.
