It’s P-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-Pancake Day! In the U.S., at least. Other parts of the world celebrated Pancake Day last week on Shrove Tuesday, which I initially read as “Shroom Tuesday.” Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday. But last Tuesday was also Fat Tuesday, and We the People of Fat Ammy’s need to maximize our fat-related holidays whenever we can. We’re all just trying to get by, on a sled composed of butter. It is not national pancake day! It’s IHOP’s National Pancake Day! They made it up! The real INTERNATIONAL Pancake Day is September 26th, which is a week after Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day. Geez>

I had pancakes for breakfast and I didn’t even know it was National Pancake Day! To quote a very wise man: SUCCESS!
Pfft, the Real Pancake day was last Tuesday, Feb 16th, at least in England and in our suburban Philly house too. IHOP just made it up this year for some unknown reason, most years they actually do get it right and we get free pancakes on the Real Day.
I might have to go to IHOP tonight… breakfast for dinner… yum!
