“Just had an unauthorized wedding in the apple store. Priest dressed as Steve Jobs. Read vows from iPhone.” So tweeted one of my friends Sunday night. Apple wedding? On Valentines Day? Indeed:
The happy couple is Josh and Ting Li, who confirm to EW that this was their real wedding. They first bonded over a mutual fascination with all things clickwheel, Josh says. “We got to know each other because Ting was looking to buy an iPod…and I managed to strike up a conversation that way.” Romance blossomed for the two iLovebirds. “I used to joke that the Apple Store is my church because I am not religious, and I loved everything Apple,” Josh adds. “Ting then came up with the idea of having the wedding there.” They haven’t decided yet where to have a reception, but I hear Cupertino is lovely this time of year.
I think this renegade Apple store wedding trumps the Halo wedding, but can it top that Star Wars wedding? What about a Katamari Damancy wedding?
What fan-based wedding makes you say I do, PopWatchers?

Can’t wait for the iDivorce app.
LMAO
Man!.. That was hilarious…lmao
But it kinda sucks cuz they never know whether the iDivorce wud happen or not… apple saves a relationship by not letting the iDivorce app into the app store….
Barf
seconded.
Congrats to mr and mrs li! You both are awesome!
Do you think they said, “iDo”?
Yes, I love technology
But not as much as you, you see
But I still love technology
Always and forever
You know, that song was supposed to be laughably pathetic, not something to model a real wedding on. Sad materialistic product lovers.
Hmm that wasn’t the Star Wars wedding I was thinking of. One couple did a HUGE Star Wars theme with the couple dressed up as Amidala and Darth Vader, the place dressed up like the Death Star and the guests all turned out in costumes. The Bridesmaid even wore the handmaiden outfits from the first movie. It really was a geek’s paradise
“the Apple Store is my church because I am not religious, and I loved everything Apple.”
(bite)
NERDS! NERDS! NERDS!
Which Apple store hosted this event?
It was at the 59th street at 5th ave.
Fun story!
But, EW – drop the stupid “Download Flash” popup for mobile web browsers like the iPhone!!
Kinda ironic that it is on a flash based video….
iWeddings not to be shown using flash…only quicktime baby! -Apple
One advice..Don’t have twins..You are going to have trouble multitasking..
oh it’s just so romantics.bring tears to my eyes.
My guess is that the groom is a total geek who convinced her to go through with this. Geez. A bit too geeky for my tastes.
Beats getting married at Walmart — which happens all the time: http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=3210
