As guest Quentin Tarantino told Conan O’Brien last night, the comedy gods have been dancing an Irish jig since Conan started letting loose on NBC on The Tonight Show. (Last night’s digs were bilingual, visual, and involved Norm Macdonald, who must be funnier than I think he is.) As for what Conan should do next, Tarantino suggested a sequel to the 1996 TV movie The Late Shift: He’d call it Late Shift 2: The Rolling Thunder of Revenge. He even performed the trailer’s voiceover, which made me think that Tarantino should be the voice of every preview… Enjoy it below.
NBC has confirmed O’Brien’s guest list for his remaining episodes: Adam Sandler, Joel McHale and musical guest Joss Stone drop by tonight; Robin Williams and musical guest Barry Manilow on Thursday; and Tom Hanks and Will Ferrell on Friday. Which of them are you most looking forward to?
More on late-night TV shuffle from EW:
David Letterman to Jay Leno: ‘No one is blaming Conan’
Conan on Friday: Tom Hanks, Will Ferrell

Oh Adam Sandler- hands down. He’s funny and not afraid to go for it.
definitely NOT robin williams.. he recycles the same tired jokes and weak impressions every time he appears on a damn show.
not that i’m a HUGE fan, but the guy who can probably provide the funniest analysis is McHale.. think he’ll hold back, being an NBC employee?
I doubt it–Community is an NBC show, isn’t it?
Will Ferrell. I can already hear him, “It seems like it was just a few months ago that I was sitting here as your first guest….”
Sad to see Conan leaving. I’m waiting to see Tom Hanks and maybe Will Ferrel. Adam Sandler is a huge joke and I’m not looking forward to see him.
but you will watch, won’t you?
Remember last time Tom Hanks was on? That huge prop was set up to hit him… it turned out really funny.
“Adam Sandler is a huge joke…”
Yeah, that’s kind of the point. You gettin’ it now?
Joel McHale!
Funny AND yummy!
YES!
If you don’t already understand what makes Norm Macdonald hilarious, there’s probably no helping you. Some people just don’t get him.
dirty work is one of the most underappreciated comedies ever…
one of my all time favorites
I just need to see Triumph before he leaves. The Masturbating Bear wouldn’t hurt either…
Howard Stern should have put his money where his mouth is and gone to LA to do the show.
You never know….Conan said there will be lots of surprises in this last week!
I think it should happen. Hopefully, it will.
Howard Stern is a punk, he’s afraid to fly a plane, hopefully he stays off TV
Adam Sandler. I’m not really a fan of his movies, in fact I avoid them altogether. But as a talk show guest he ALWAYS brings his A-game, especially for Conan
Well, Conan will be able to say they fired him when he was on top.
It still cracks me up that after each Conan clip NBC STILL puts up “The tonight show with Conan…weeknights at 11:35/etc.” NBC is nuts.
Well three days til I am done with late night NBC. Will watch Letterman until Conan lands somewhere. Letterman said it perfectly…if you show gets canceled, you go find another job. Show the network what they are missing. You don’t linger around waiting for your time again. Shame on you Leno…if you had no animosity towards Conan, you would have graciously accepted failure and moved on even though NBC offered a half hour show.
Yeah, shame on Jay Leno for taking a job he was offered. Man what a jerk. While we’re at it, I think Conan should really show NBC up and not take their money.
dammit…i hit post by mistake. LOL
Leno has just revealed what a opportunist his is. He manipulative and just plain ol’ scum. Maybe Howard (Stern) has some new bits you can copy upon your return.
Will Ferrell hands down! he would to be a hilarious final guest for Conan — Love u Coco!! Going sail around the caribean somewhere for a few months, you deserve it.
Tom Hanks and Will Ferrell on the last show is the one I’m excited for. Hopefully Tom hangs around for Ferrell’s segment.
