“Welcome to Lopez Tonight, where nobody gets fired, they just get replaced by a bigger star with the same last name.” That’s how Jennifer Lopez opened her monologue on George Lopez’s late-night TBS chat show Monday. Honestly, I haven’t enjoyed J.Lo this much since Out of Sight. She was dancing, smiling, rattling off Sarah Palin, Conan O’Brien, and male prostitute jokes. If George ever needs a vacation, she should be his replacement. (If she doesn’t parlay her recently announced guest-role on Glee into series regular, that is.) Watch her stand-up, below.

Missed it. Damn!
you can see it on youtube…her monologue wasnt that long
Corny JLO just won’t go away will she???
JHo.
You’re not the original.
I never said I was.
The Bronx accent is still there but she did a wonderful job I think. Standup is tough!
Multimillionaire.
cute! man, all I’ve been focusing on is the crazytown that is her marriage to Mark Antony, but she’s not half-bad. Hey, if the wedding planner’s on TV, I won’t necessarily turn it off…
“Hey, if the wedding planner’s on TV, I won’t necessarily turn it off…”
Am I the only one who thinks these are the kind of blurbs they should put on movie posters or DVD cases instead of the generic crap they actually use?
“…from the studio that brought you “The Proposal”
Exactamundo.
For “When In Rome”, instead of “from the studio that brought you ‘The Proposal’” it could be something like, “This movie probably stinks, but if you liked “Veronica Mars” please support Kristen Bell’s film career.”
OR, they could’ve simply gone with “from the director of “Daredevil” and “Ghost Rider.’” That would’ve been funny AND true.
to be honest with you, id love to support her film career- but I would never pay to see anything by that director-for-hire..
Funny idea, but she was terrible.
Poor Jennifer. Sara Palin is not a slut (puta)so it is difficult for some people to identify with her.
I admire women that can, and men that do not know the difference, probably never will.
Wow–she really was good. She’s got the timing–a natural. I’ve seen her be funny, charming and off-the-cuff in interviews, so maybe she should transition her career to talk show/host.
What, was her catsuit at the cleaners?
Ridiculous! Everyone knows you hand-wash a catsuit.
i don’t see Jlo hand washing anything.
wow. she’s actually quite funny.
yes J-lo has no room to talk about ethics she been around the block…Jenny more than most!
I am far far from a fan of j-ho but I do gotta say, 1) she looked fantastic and 2) she came of very very natural and comfortable… so there, ill give credit where its due.
“Natural” and “comfortable” are NOT two words I would’ve associated with Jennifer Lopez after the Great Catsuit Fiasco of (Very Late) ’09. Still, she did kinda rock this.
It makes me wish even more that she’d quit trying to be a pop star. She could kind of get away with it when she was a successful movie star, but it’s just not working now.
she really should quiet being a pop stars if she was focusing on her acting career she’ll get even better and get better parts, she was pretty great last night.
I wish she wouldve NEVER wanted to be a pop star to begin with. She was better when she was an actress that was working with talented film makers and seemed to appreciate the craft instead of trying to be a millionaire
She did no justice last night!! NONE!!!!!! She’s “Desperate” for attention. That is “Classic” J-LO.
Who wouldn’t be fun and beautiful if you have people catering to your every need!
she was fun !! and gorgeous !
It’s pathetic that Jennifer was funnier than George and it’s his show!
ahah that was pretty good. and she really age gracefully, she still look amazing ! never been a fan but now i’m kind of looking forward to see her on Glee.
Yeah, she does need to give up her dream of still being a popstar. She had four number one hit songs. That should be enough. That said, I’ve always found her to be pretty charming and completely non-diva in interviews, so she might want to look into this now that her career has cooled off.
I remember on Late Night with Conan O’Brien she refused to appear after she was bumped – back before she was the household name she is today.
She’s always been a beeyotch. Lol.
