Freaks and Geeks – Bill Haverchuck drinking the keg of “real” beer in a souvenir helmet while watching Dallas. . .
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Yes, I just added this one, too! I also love everyone else (save Ken) thinking they’re drunk and acting like idiots.
Carolyn Burnham from American Beauty, when she is coming on to Buddy the real estate king.
Was just going to comment on Ari Graynor until I saw you mentioned it. Half of my friends become her character once they’ve had a few.
“Are you mad at me?” = The most classic drunk line in the book.
Yes! Ari Graynor was amazing in that movie. I read somewhere she prepared for that role by getting drunk and asking her boyfriend to film her so she can see how she acts when she’s drunk and make her character more authentic. Now that’s dedication.
Oh, and I also wanted to mention Sebastian Stan in The Education of Charlie Banks. Surprisingly, I loved that movie, and Sebastian’s character was hilarious.
How about the Epic scene between Veronica and Logan on Veronica Mars. “I thought our story was epic, you know?” Kills me every time for its sincerity!
Nice one! I love the soundtrack for that scene, too. It set it up perfectly.
My favourite drunk is Loretta Swit playing Margaret Houlihan on the TV version of M*AS*H*. She keeps trying to maintain her army bearing while being three sheets to the wind—it’s hilarious to watch.
drunk ted on how i met your mother.
what about the pineapple, dammit?!
also, drunk monica (friends), and drunk meredtih (greys anatomy).
Yes, drunk Ted was awesome!
Ross on “Friends”. “I made Faheetahs!”
Hahaha yes, and then Ross stomped and snapped like a salsa dancer. SO good at physical comedy.
The “Freaks and Geeks” episode where the gang gets drunk on non-alcoholic beer… At least, everyone but Bill who gets wasted on the real thing. Funny and completely true.
Of course, Max Fisher getting drunk at dinner is great, too (“I wrote a hit play!).
“They’re OR scrubs.”
“OH, ARE they?”
Hilarious!
“They’re OR scrubs.”
“OH, ARE they?”
Hilarious!
Ummm… Jack Tripper at Janet’s work party after he mistakenly drinks alcohol while on tranquilizers? Him rising up from behind the bar shaking the maracas with a fern on his head is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
I liked Liz Lemon’s alcohol induced breakdown on the 30 Rock-episode “210″. It was so over-the-top it was almost ridiculous.
The moment in The Simpsons-Episode “Kill the Alligator and run” when Homer comes back drunk to the family’s hotel room when they are in Florida during Spring Break and says to his wife: “Guess how many boobs I saw today, Marge. Fifteen!” is priceless.
My all-time favorite drunk scene was the Soap episode with Burt trying to step down off a coffee table. Richard Mulligan made it look as if he was made of rubber bands. Genius physical comedy.
Jack Nicholson in the Shining…
