Move over Julia Child, Christina Hendricks is in the kitchen!

La Cucina is described as “a romantic drama about life, love and the joy of cooking.” But what you really need to know is that it marks the film debut of Mad Men’s beloved Joanie, Christina Hendricks. The cast also featuers Joaquim de Almeida (24), Rachel Hunter, and Leisha Hailey (The L Word). The DVD/Blu-Ray is out Jan. 12, but meanwhile you can see Christina drinking red wine and sexily eating some sort of potato chip in the trailer:

Who’s hungry for La Cucina?

Wow that movie looks terrible. And what is really even about??

It feels like an adapted play. Intriguing, but I think that’s the vibe they were going for.

i stopped the video after hearing the pregnant woman talk about what she thinks her biggest problem is. i think me cooking alone in the kitchen would be more interesting.

I agree with Vicki, this film was excellent. My husband and I adore it. We are going to get our copy on Amazon! YAY! Good job! I give this one 5 stars!

This is a wondeful indepedant film about food, love, & real relationships. It won some film festival awards & Leisha is adorable! If you only like big budget explosions with no plot like Die Hard4 & Ghost Rider then it’s not for you. Nothing explodes, nobody dies, & there is a plot! It’s just a lovely little slice of life!

All to rarely are we treated to a GEM of a movie, that stays with you. I felt like i was eavesdropping on friends in their kitchens. This is a wonderful film that one wants to see again and again.

Maybe the film is good, but the trailer is horrendous.

This is a movie that is entertaining and leaves you feeling that you have been and are a part of their lives. A movie you can see many times.
