'Mystery Science Theater 3000' now on Hulu

Five episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000 are now on Hulu! Honk if you love Eegah, friends. Weirdly, I tweeted about these MST3K glasses just yesterday, so my nerd senses are seriously tingling. So far, “The Starfighters,” “Secret Agent Super Dragon,” “Monster A-Go-Go,” “The Rebel Set,” and “The Giant Gila Monster” (from seasons 4, 5, and 6) are up, but alas, my two faves have not yet made the cut: “Boggy Creek II: And The Legend Continues” and “Eegah,” lovingly quoted above. What about you, PopWatchers? What’s your favorite Mystery Science Theater 3000? And do you sit through whole movies on Hulu, or usually just episodes of TV shows?

Not one episode makes me laugh as hard or hysterically as “Space Mutiny.”

The greatest running gag in MST3K history. “Butch Sideiron! Dirk Hardpec! Smoke Man Muscle! Bridge Largemeat!”

    • Bobby’s Robot

Agreed, plus Manos, Wild Rebels, Pod People, Day the Earth Froze, Teenagers from Outer Space, Gamera, Mr. B Natural…

I’m still a big fan of Mitchell!

“Danger: Death Ray” is a favorite. I’m also fond of the transition episode “Mitchell.” (Paraphrase) “You guys watch Joe Don Baker movies?” sums up the series.

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Manos the Hand Fate is one of my favorites. Torgo still creeps me out.

My first MST3K expereince remains my favorite: “Giant Spider Invasion” Whenever I want to introduce my friends to MST3K, I start with that one.

“Manos, the Hands of Fate”, “Space Mutiny”, and “Horrors of Spider Island” are also some excellent ones.

“Actually filmed in the thumbhole of a bowling ball.”
      .
“And the movie ramps up the repulsion!”
      .
      “Pudding!”
      .
I can’t stop quoting this episode!

I still chuckle to myself when I see earthworms because of MTK3000′s showing of “Squirm”

‘Well, Ok’ (Starts squirming in seats)
Sometimes the sight gags were the best of the show!

    • Lilly

Squirm is one of my favs too!!
“I don’t want to you to be disappointed if he doesn’t come”
      Crow: Mother, that’s private

“Space Mutiny” is the gold standard, but there are plenty of others. “Time Chasers,” “Catalina Caper,” and, of course, “MST3K The Movie” are ones I always come back to.

Parts: The Clonus Horror and The Screaming Skull are my favorites. I also love the Gumby short and the Spring PSA they made fun of at the beginning of two of the episodes.

Since it’s the holidays, they should be running “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians,” classic B-movie that gets ripped apart wonderfully.

And would love to see them post the Rifftrax where the same guys rip into more recent movies from “Matrix” to “Star Wars” to “Twilight” in wonderful fasion.

I love the shorts the best, such as Mr B Natural (We’re white, we’re white, we’re really, really white) and truck farming (who knew the Salinas Valley was down by Los Angeles)? I don’t remember the name of the movie, but one of the lines in one of my favorites is “They got rocks that big in Texas?” Definite good times!

Just emailed the link to my husband who is stationed in Afghanistan. He is going to be overjoyed! IF he can find an internet connection, that is.

  • Granticus

Mitchell is by far the greatest!

  • Scott P

Awesome! I really hope they put “Daddy-O” on there, since that one isn’t on any of the dvd’s. Has probably the great song they ever did, “Hike Your Pants Up.”

  • John

“Alien from LA” was one of my all-time favorites.

    • jkl

yes! It’s my favorite Mike episode.
