We all have that deep dark corner of our DVRs, that bookmarked page on Hulu, those Netflix DVDs we’ve had for months — that show we’ve been waiting to binge on. It’s a long weekend, PopWatchers, and that means it’s time to get caught up on our favorites.
My first order of business is Dexter. I fell way behind on my beloved serial killer this season — Mad Men so thoroughly dominated my Sunday nights, I usually couldn’t handle both. I have four or five collecting dust on my DVR at this point, and I am eager to plow through them.
The other pick? New-comer White Collar. I watched a few episodes on Hulu in the last week or two and am totally falling for. It’s not the best most original or fascinating caper drama in history, but it’s finding its footing and style more and more each week, and its sense of humor and pacing are really starting to work. Plus, I’m as taken with the cast as I’d hoped I’d be.
What are you catching up on, PopWatchers? The Good Wife? FlashForward? Modern Family?

Just finished watching the last 4 eps of The Good Wife. Other show waiting patiently in my DVR for this weekend is Medium.
Good wife = Snoozefest.
White Collar (very cute)
The Prisoner (I know it didn’t get the best reviews, but hey, it was on AMC)
Eastwick (I know it was cancelled, but I loved it and missed the last eppy)
Oh and also Roswell (I’m trying out new shows that were cancelled)
And Surface
Roswell is just fantatic!!!!
The Prisoner was god-awful. Don’t even bother. Believe me, you’ll watch all 6 hours waiting for some magic moment where you’ll be able to say that the series was worth your time. It isn’t!
You think anything on AMC is automatically good? You are a pathetic automaton. You have lost the inability to think for yourself. You are so busy trying to prove your false sense of moral superiority that you think fringe channels can do no wrong and major networks are automatic failures depsite their ability to hire the best writers, actors, directors, and producers.
You are simply dispicable and pathetic.
Wow Y, way to be crazy and rude! AMC has produced two shows that are among the best television has to offer, and I also thought The Prisoner was excellent. I think the network has proven that whatever they choose to air is worth checking out.
Donnie – Prisoner excellent? You must be nuts. I watched it for a grand total of 4 mins. and couldn’t stand it anymore. Without Patrick McGoohan, it’s totally lame.
I gotta catch up on the last few episodes of FlashForward. And I have a handful of Heroes episodes on the DVR, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it…anyone have any advice?
Don’t bother. Haven’t you heard? FlashForward has halted production. It’s a goner.
I thought they were only halting production for a week to allow the writers to work on scripts?
They stopped procuction for *six days* in a previously planned break. It’s a non-story.
It is SO not a goner. Its too fabulous of a show to be gone. As for catchups?? I have about 5 eps of House. I’m wayyyy behind. Just gonna get a glass of wine and my laptop and sit on my porch all night. we can still do that in Texas this time of year
Definitely caught up on all the cop dramas– the Mentalist, Numb3rs, and Lie to Me… How crazy was the last episode of the mentalist!
The last episode of Dexter was epic. Get caught up! Catching up on FlashForward and V.
That last Dexter episode was f8cking disturbing!!!! When he broke the pinky I fell over.
I screamed… a little wussy, yes but still. Dexter is amazing! I decided to not watch Mad Men and focus on Dexter and last Sunday’s episode paid off. Michael C. Hall, while a fantastic actor, was so hot during the rage scene! I just love that show. I am catching up on White Collar, The Big Bang Theory, and Supernatural. But I am trying new or old shows like Dawson’s Creek, Lost, and Tell Me You Love Me.
Cole, if a broken pinky disturbs you then you shouldn’t be watching a show like Dexter.
Dexter is the best thing on tv. The recent Hungry Man and Lost Boys episodes were fantastic.
Last season’s Being Erica. The new season is coming in Jan and they have been re-playing Season 1 on Soapnet. My DVR is filling up!
In Treatment. Whew, that’s a rough show to start watching.
That’s for sure.
I’m behind on Glee and Cougartown, its totally a dvr weekend for me!
Dexter is an absolute nail-biter this season, of course, and we can’t wait for each episode. White Collar is definitely a favourite for us. Tonight my wife and I are going to finish the original 2007 series of “Damages,” which is also quite good if you haven’t seen it.
I had only watched the first two episodes of Survivor this season, now down to just two left to see. I also just picked Damages Season 1 Disc 2 out of the mailbox.
I have 3 episodes of White Collar in the DVR. Plan to watch them tomorrow.
I am so behind on my television checklist. Finally caught up with Mad Men, Dexter and Flash Forward. And now I have White Collar, The Good Wife, Ghost Whisperer, Community, Fringe and House. Woo-ee.
Well, I’m getting caught up on nothing this weekend TV-related as I have to cobble together a powerpoint on ancient Chinese interior design by Monday. But since I seem to be done with Flashforward (sigh, it’s just too boring) I think I’ll catch up on Modern family next week. And possibly rewatch the first season of the Sarah Jane Adventures. Good stuff, there. Show’s like a giant hug in DVD form.
catching up on unwatched movies.
Sports are unfortunately dominating my TV this weekend, so I haven’t been able to watch Grey’s or Private Practice. I’m also working my way through Buffy and Angel.
Good Choice on Buffy and Angel, though you will not like Buffy’s six season and Angel’s fourth– most fans don’t. But still great choices.
