Don’t worry Russell fans if he doesn’t win this season. He’ll be back for Fans vs Favorites next season. And do quite well I might add…
It’s Heroes Vs. Villains FYI not Fans vs. Favorites (That was season 16)
lol i just read your correction post. sorry then.
if you know, please don’ say so. Some of like surprises!
I’d be surprise if they didn’t off him the first chance they got!
As always, I enjoyed the blog. I love the extra insight and the humor. I am definitely a fan of Russell and would go as far as to say he is my favorite player and the person who deserves to win. John became slightly higher on my list this episode by flipping, but no one can touch Russell on pure awesome game play.
I meant “Heroes vs Villains”. That’s next season which has already completed filming. “Fans vs Favorites” was a couple seasons back
I’m surprised russell didn’t delete the picture on the phone. I guess Sprint wanted their air time… Or russell doesn’t know how to use a phone.
But Russell needs to win, because the first time in years the player of who is most “Russell-like” actually is still left. Most start playing the game too early, making moves too early, and opening their mouth too much, and leaves too early leaving the winter to some nice person whose played small moves but enough to win. But Russell is calm like a bomb and only explodes with funny lines during the 1 on 1′s camera time. And why are you complaining that the cameras gave away the position? So what? Russell was probably the only person smart enough to actually pay attention to the camera people. The cameras are part of the game just like anything else. They’re all subtle clues, that the smart people playing that game pay attention to. This season, it’s all about russell!
That was what I thought too as soon as I saw it. If he deleted it, no one else would’ve known, and another bounce of the “Hidden” Immunity Idol may have occurred.
It was probably against the rules or he would have done it. The rules probably said all going on the reward were to receive the clue.
Russell is pretty much the greatest player ever to play this game. The only thing scarier would be if Russell and Ozzy had a love child and he went on to be in season 40 or so.
“Favorite player? Russell, hands down. Nat, second, and Shambo, third.” This is the same for me!!
I thought last weeks blindside was the best ever, but Laura getting creamed was a close race, that was absolutely fantastic! Russel finding the third idol was amazing, even if he did have a clue this time. And say what you will, he may be a plant or a mole, but it didn`t appear that anyone else really payed alot of attention to the clues and were more concerned with keeping him from finding it than finding it themselves. And one of the best parts of this episode to me was Russell the little pot bellied pig outrunning Dave the “fitness trainer’ and Laura. Did we get another spoiler or not? Were they talking about pulling the trigger on Russell for letting the chickens out, or Brett? I didnt see either of them in that last conversation. It`s getting really interesting now. LOL
I think Shambo was referring to Russell when she said “that just pulled the trigger”. Brett was part of the conversation. You can see his back view for a split second.
Oompa-Loompa Russell better start being sweet cause looks like Shambo is going to Rambo him.Poor Jaison is really out of his element.I feel sad for him.The only reason he’s not quitting is pride.I hope he manages to get to the end of the game.I am so glad power hungry Laura is gone.
natalie is my favorite, strong, quiet social game…russell is brilliant, but a little too cocky and arrogant…i think it will cost him…i always like a likeable person to win, and he just isn’t…laura and galu cemented their downfall with mistreatment of shambo, who is one of worst players in survivor history, absolutely no chance to win…if natalie cannot win, then brett…as someone else said, very nice eye candy
I hated Russ the first couple of weeks……..but He is DEFINITELY the BEST BEST player EVER!!!….I hope he wins……he deserves it!!
1) Russell 2) Natalie 3) Shambo. It is amazing how Foa Foa has pulled from behind. Good analysis, Jeff, of it being 33% Russell ingenuity 33% Foa Foa unity and 33% Galu crumbling.
The dynamics of human behavior is one of the reasons I LOVE Survivor – every Survivor season has offered this, but this has been one of the best. Russell (notice we aren’t calling him Evil Russell anymore?) has a determination that can’t be taught in school or learned in books. I’m not saying he’s invincible or a hero of some kind. But I admire his focus and ability to unswervingly serve his best interests.
I imagine him watching season after season of Survivor, yelling at the tv as otherwise smart players give it all up in the face of temporary turmoil. I don’t know if it’s because he possesses a quality – or lacks a quality – that enables him to so easily dismiss the physical and emotional turbulence.
Whatever it is – he has made this season memorable.
Jeff Jeff Jeff… I thought for sure that last week’s episode COULD NOT be beat; was I ever wrong. My heart was pounding as you read each vote; then the 2nd reading. So happy to see Laura ‘hit the road, jack.’ At first I didn’t care for Russell; but now I love watching this guy. He is there to PLAY. I also like Natalie. I do hope that one of the ex-Foa Foa wins the $1M buckeroos. Thanks for another great episode. Oh, and I thought Dave’s expression after Laura was voted off was PRICELESS.
SF, I think some of those expressions are misleading. Dave, will surprise you.
Russell since day one. He’s a mischief maker and I love mischief. Reminds me of Johnnie Fairplay if Johnnie had charisma, decent strategy, and the ability to pull it off.
John is also quite funny and very astute, although until now he’s been a back burner.
My favorite is Russell, with Shambo as a close second. As for Dave’s comment I thought he said something along the lines of “You guys don’t tell Galu I said this, but good move!”
Liked Russ from day one…. but i think its anybodys game now.
ps. Shambo is HOT!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
