Now that he’s engaged, Jensen Ackles (one-half of Supernatural’s brother duo played by Jensen and Jared Padalecki) may be off-the-market, but I console myself with the fact that he is still making nightly cameos in my dreams and weekly appearances on (IMHO) the best show on TV. After Thursday’s episode, however, one of my sources of comfort goes on hiatus until Jan. 14, making it an undeniable Must this week.
If my intense frame-by-frame analysis of the episode’s preview and promo shots can be trusted (preview/spoiler phobes STOP here), we are finally going to get a taste of devil vs. angel action. There will be a fight for The Colt, the return of some favorite faces (mother-daughter hunting duo Jo and Ellen), and another appearance by Mark Pellegrino (playing Lucifer). It’s been a hilarious season of Supernatural, even though the plot has been riding a slow, creaky bicycle toward resolution, but I think we’re going to see some major action this week.
Now it’s your turn. What in the realm of TV/movies/books/online/all things entertainment do you think is awesome this week? Submit your choices by Thursday, Nov. 19 at noon ET. Remember to include an e-mail and some smart, witty reasoning. Your pick could end up in the magazine!

Ian McKellen on AMC’s remake of The Prisoner… he’s the main reason to watch it!
The Big Bang Theory has totally taken over as my favorite comedy. Any show that can make me fall off my couch from laughing AND crying is a big win in my book.
i’ve been a survivor fan from the beginning(ish), and i’ll admit, when russell found the second immunity idol last week without a single clue (AGAIN!), i was a bit skeptical. however, it has been the second week in a row with a great blindside! like dalton said, jeff likes to use that word like it’s going out of style, but the past two tribals have saved the once drowning survivor samoa.
Bruno because even mediocre Sasha Baron Cohen is still funnier, fresher and more daring than most comedy out these days.
Have to agree with you on Supernatural. Best show on TV!
Second the love for Supernatural. Though I’m luke-warm about this season so far…luckily still have time to rev up our last season! Our site does recaps if anybody wants to say hello at Mile High Horrors.
Supernatural IS the best show on t.v.! The only show I’ve ever truly LOVED.
Yes, Supernatural is the best show, definitely
Love it when Supernatural gets recognition. It’s overlooked too often.
I absolutely agree. It’s sad, isn’t it? Supernatural deserves much more credit and attention then it actually gets.
Yep, Supernatural is the best show on TV!
I’m lookin forward to TVD (Yep, I like the Vampire show ;D ), Supernatural, The legend of the seeker and Modern family (my favorite comedy).
Technically Supernatural doesn’t have any bachelors left ;D Misha is married, Jensen is gonna get married and Jared has a girlfriend. Oh, wait I forgot Jim Beaver! ;D
Aww, LOVE that Supernatural is this week’s must pick. That show is spectacularly spine-tingling!
Loving the new Carrie Underwood CD “Play On,” as well as the “Bad Romance” video from Lady Gaga (stuff is trippy!). And Katy Perry’s MTV Unplugged CD/DVD is way better than I expected; girl can sing when she’s not jumping up and down in weird outfits…
Yeah I have to agree with your pick for Supernatural. It’s by far my favorite show on TV. This week’s episode looks like a killer to send us off into hiatus. Damn you Kripke.
Speaking of, The Big Bang Theory is easily my second favorite show and I loved this weeks’s Sheldon and Penny bonding episode. Adorable.
I’m with you – Supernatural is definitely my pick of the week! Can’t wait to see this episode!
Supernatural is the best show on TV by far. It has everything you need: drama, comedy, big scares and even bigger thrills. Plus two majorly hot and talented leads.
The highlight of my week was watching Penny and Sheldon interact on The Big Bang Theory. Pure comedy gold! Then when you add the fact that the other nerds were out in the wilderness getting high?! Made this the best episode since Penny gave Sheldon Leonard Nimoy’s napkin.
V.
I love it. I’m usually not that into Sci-Fi but for some reason this one has me hooked. Elizabeth Mitchell is great and every week is action packed!! Only one more episode til it goes on hiatus which makes it an absolute MUST this week! If you don’t watch they might not bring it back. And that would make me sad. You don’t want to make me sad do you?
