The famed “dancing inmates” of Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Cebu, Philippines, have a new routine, this time to a Queen medley (that also includes “Mr. Roboto,” which is Styx, but okay).
The “Thriller” video set the bar pretty high for these dances — though I’m partial to the weird dissonance of “Holding Out for a Hero” — so I can’t see this Queen arrangement taking a place among the all-time YouTube hits, but who knows. Is this destined to be a viral classic, PopWatchers?

love!
Love this. Queen is pure awesome.
I’m glad that the two men who murdered my uncle in Cebu have a fun project to do. It sickens me that these guys are the focus of anyone’s admiration.
I think you missed the part about rehabilitation.
Anybody notice the person in blue has pumps on for the far away shots and chucks on for the closeups?
It seems we had the same thought at the same time
He dances well in heels!
Anyone else notice that the guy in the blue dress is wearing heels in some shots and sneakers in other shots? lol.
The irony of them dancing to the song “I Want to Break Free” is not lost on me.
the guys in the tutus are rocking it! they know how to pick some good songs. they should try this in all the prisons! i wonder what happens to these people when they have served their time? are they better adjusted people because of this therapy?
It is oddly hypnotic. The guys in the tutu’s were pretty good. Do you think they are all inmates though? Could you see this at a US prison (would love to though)? There were men and women. Do you think people actually commit crimes to get into the dance group? They are pretty good though… they got plenty of times on their hands.
