Clip du jour: The best horse name ever

Just yesterday I had to admit that I knew nothing about horse-racing (unless you count knowing all the words to “Fugue for Tinhorns” from Guys and Dolls). But if I had known this guy was in the race, I probably would have paid more attention.

Sorry, Mr. Ed, I have a new favorite horse now.

It’s kind of a perfect name for a racehorse, really.

This clip is extra awesome because TWSS won.

  • Hork

There will never be a better horse name than Hoof Hearted.

There was a horse a few years ago that had an Arabic name – Ibin Shythone. The proper pronunciation was “I been sh– on”, and I remember seeing video of a track announcer doing his darndest not to say it that way – he must have used about 6 or 7 different mispronunciations during the course of the race.

    Ha. That’s just awesome.

Still not better than “Pegasus Prospector”.

Michael Scott is Steve Carrell’s character name on The Office.
