Miss armstrong, you should be ashamed, finally a black reality show with some class and positive stuff and you are negative. Who died and left you queen.

See thats the problem with America now adays, if there aint no drama or fights/cussing/argument then something is boring. Its sooo sad that when someone is on showing positivity and a true part of their life then it has to be boring. Jennifer Armstrong you need to go and sit down somewhere. I will watch EVERY episode and each encore and MOST DEFINITELY buy the album.

  • donte

I will do both. I found the show to be very inspiring and informative.

Well I am glad its not drama. MONICA and Rocko are already married. I just know it :) . He seem like a really goooooooooooooooood father and supportive man. We need more men like him. See Monica smart she showing women that you can have a man that care about you and not ashamed of thw World knowin it! Go RocMO ;0

That show is so corny, and its not about it being positive, if she wants to preach she should become a gospel singer, If she wants to share her life, how about knowing how boring it is before putting it on TV? SHe is a nice girl but this show is horrible. BET is horrible.

WOW—you must be very, very young….Because an Adult would never think that show is corny. She’s very positive, has an career and taking care of her boys–that’s what adult women do….

I really like her show. I like the fact that it is showing up and coming artist that you have to fight to stay true to yourself. she said that she tried a new approach on her last album with pressure from record company that the first single had to be the up beat everytime the beat drops which I loved and it did’nt sell as many records as before. She is trying to get back to what she felt her fan based loved the most. It’s obvious now how hard it is to pick songs that you feel will work. Positive show love the family support. I will be watching and buying her next album. She is a strong singer with strong values and has come through a storm that would have discourged most. YOu go girl!!!!!!!!

I watched the show for the first time and thought it was very positive show in terms a young black woman showing a positive side to her. She truly loves her family. What bothered me though is that when she visited her doctor and told him she stopped taking her blood pressure meds, he just did not seemed alarmed and simply told her that her blood pressure is lower since her last visit. What he failed to tell her is that her bottom number is still very high at 90. She will eventually damamge her heart if and may even suffer a stroke it’s not controlled.

I haven’t been a fan of Monica, not because I don’t like her music, but because I’m not up on music like I used to be. One thing I know – as a Black woman in her mid-40s, Monica absolutely has the proper perspective on motherhood, womanhood, personhood. If more young women paid attention to what she’s been through and the lessons she’s teaching through this show, young Black women would be better off today. She knows how to treat her family, her man, her associates. It may be drama-less, but maybe that’s what our community needs. Less drama, more respect. That’s what her show teaches. We’d all be better off if we all watch, listen, and learn.

I am a 44 year old White Male and I LOVE Monica as well as this show. I have been up on Ms. Monica Arnold since her first recording in 1995. Yes it is true this show does NOT contain the “Drama” and shennanigans of other reality shows. That is why I enjoy it so much. I am not a big fan of Reality TV shows and I do not bother watching most of the crap out there (I won’t name any shows but some of them have been mentioned in this very discussion.) Monica’s “Still Standing” is a breath of Fresh Air and I would rather see “boring” footage of Monica in the recording studio working on her CD and taking care of her kids instead of scripted and nonsenicical scenarios that other reality shows offer. What is wrong with watching a superstar’s “normal” life for 20 minutes a week? Black Folks talk about “Keeping It Real”- well Monica does just that, with positive energy and without Negative Theatrics. I wish Monica and her TV Series much continued success.

i love monica she is my fav r&b singer every song she makes i fall in love with. As for the show i tune in every tues. shes a positive person

I do like Monica based off her older work. I think she has a great voice. But, I ‘m not really into her like that anymore. I think she’s had her time. The show is painfully boring and yes people do want drama on T.V. Thats what makes it worth watching. I can talk about appliances and water heaters at home depot with my husband. The whole shoe revolves around her most likely not getting her album released and her relationship with her ugly boyfriend Rocko. Yeah I’ll pass on this one.
