ABC has released photos from the Oct. 26 episode of Castle title “Vampire Weekend.” Per the episode synopsis, “As Halloween approaches, Castle and Beckett are called to a graveyard where the body of a young man sporting vampire fangs has been discovered with a wooden stake driven through his heart. Their investigation takes them deep into the heart of New York’s underground Vampire Fetish Community, where they learn that the secret motive for the victim’s murder may be hiding within the pages of the graphic novel he was writing before his death.” I can hear Castle’s Buffy, Twilight and True Blood references now, and I like it.
What do you think of their costumes? I’m guessing Beckett is a classic femme fatale (or perhaps Nikki Heat), and Castle is Edgar Allan Poe. Then, I’m thinking we’ve got ourselves a Doogie Howser, M.D., a Cruella De Vil, a Catwoman, and the guy from The Hurt Locker?

Oh, Castle, how I love you. By the way, has anyone read the book? It’s actually good!
What book?
I think they released one of “castle’s” books. I know that Nathan Fillion did a book signing recently. Couldn’t go though
“Heat Wave,” the book Castle was working on in Season 1. ABC released it as a series tie-in, with Richard Castle actually listed as author, complete with a bio on the dust jacket and a dedication at the front, “To the extraordinary KB and all my friends at the 12th.” I agree with Callia, it’s surprisingly good! (Check out the acknowledgments in the back, too: “Castle” gives special thanks to Nathan, Stana, Jon, Seamus, Molly… etc.) It really is a fun read in any case, but for die-hard Castle fans, it rises to the level of Simply Fantastic.
Cute! Can’t wait to see this episode.
Can’t wait to see these costumes in action. Whether intentional or not, seeing Esposito’s costume takes me right back to Espera in Generation Kill.
Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Castle is always solid fun, but this one looks like setting the bar. Can’t wait!
I am so looking forward to this episode! I so love this show!
The actor who plays Esposito served in the military, so dressing him in ACU seems…. uninspired? Then again, you can bet that he’s wearing everything correctly and has all the costume details right. :}
I love this show!
Rumors were flying around the ‘net that Nathan would be dressed as a Browncoat. That promo picture implies that he won’t…. too bad, IMO.
His character from Dr. Evil would have been fantastic too!
Oops. Dr. Horrible.
actually, in the preview clip, I did see him dressed in his Browncoat garb, it was only a quick second though
Definitely saw Nathan Fillion dressed as Malcom Reynolds in the preview for this episode. Awesome!!!
Hee haw! Looks very promising.
Although I’m pretty sure Jon Huertas (as Esposito) is reprising his character from Generation Kill.
And Seamus Deavey looks like he’s channeling McDreamy from Grey’s – just look at that pout!
Haha! This show is so clever…
Can’t wait for this episode. These guys are great together and I can’t wait to see how this all plays out in the episode!
I love this show! The casts chemistry is great. It seems like Nathan’s character (Castle) would be prime for Halloween!
Looks like Castle is Vincent Price
you can see in the preview for next week’s episode that castle is wearing “the browncoat” when they first see the body and then when he jumps out the door… so maybe we’ll have a nice shiny Captain Mal moment next week. Can’t wait!
Costumes look great! can’t wait to see the show. What fun!
Love love love that he threw on his Firefly uniform again..hopefully people notice and we can get ourselves another serenity movie…cheers to ABC letting this happen!
