Don’t let the smile fool you: Here’s what Zoe Saldana looks like as a complete bad ass. Because that’s what she’s playing in The Losers, Warner Bros.’ adaptation of the Vertigo comic book series — written by Andy Diggle and drawn by Jock — which follows a band of disavowed intelligence operatives trying to claw their way back into the world, by any means necessary. And some of those means involve massive amounts of property damage.
Due in theaters in April of 2010, The Losers finds the once-and-future Uhura taking on the role of Aisha, a mysterious South American hellion who joins forces with Clay (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Roque (Idris Elba), Pooch (Columbus Short), Jensen (Chris Evans), and Cougar (Oscar Jaenada) to take down the man responsible for their collective misfortunes, Max (Jason Patric). According to Diggle, “Aisha has to be deadly and desirable in equal measure, and Zoe embodies both qualities in spades. Trust me, you’ve never seen her kick ass the way she does in The Losers!”

waiting 4 this …
Oh this is going to be a good one. Hoping for a franchise, as all of the work Diggle/Jock did on this property is certainly worthy.
nice Zoe Saladana is hot and should do well at the box office
She’s getting to have a pretty awesome career.
Would it kill you EW to write her name right? It completely takes away from the Dominican heritage.
She is really lovely. She was great in Star Trek.

Dude, seriously. I don’t think anyone is seeing her name without the little squiggly over the n and thinking she’s from Russia.
Sorry Josh, I didn’t know that we’re all supposed to conform to the white man’s language. Did you ever think that there might be a world full of culture outside of your own? Oh, wait let me guess, you’re grandfather was part cherokee?
I’ll accept your apology on his behalf. I’m glad you now realize you need to conform to our language. Hopefully that means we can avoid these whiny little posts in the future.
Oh you guys. Too funny.
Don’t people like the “melting pot” down in America? Isn’t that what everyone wants, to get distilled or assimilated into a cultureless society? It’s nice up here in Canada, you should come visit.
In all honesty though, it’s not worth the trouble to figure out how to put the squigglies around those fancy-pants letters.
Now she’s beautiful. Glad to see her getting such good roles, she was awesome as Uhura!
Aisha wasn’t South American, She was Middle Eastern.
Zoe Saldana is ugly.
She sucks as an actress, too.
