Thanks to Lindsay, Ungaro is getting a lot of publicity, just not the kind they want. The line was a disaster! Lagerfeld was right when he didn’t want her anywhere near Chanel. I think she might have actually ruined a fashion house, unless the brains at Ungaro can figure out how to extract themselves from this mess (and lets be frank, how smart can they be by hiring Lindsay for something she has no qualifications for).
This girl needs major rehabilitation, not to be a fashion advisor. Anyone can see from her latest pictures that she looks sick and exhausted…send her to rehab, don’t give her a job that will further humiliate her! This latest disaster will just drive her back to the bottle or drugs.
Ungaro did nobody a favor by hiring Lindsay.
Sure, we live in a culture that loves to see people fail, but Lohan is making the sport a little too easy. I don’t get the sense she really did much homework on this. If she were going to take this route, she should have truly taken some time and studied up and learned actual fashion. Look at the Olsens. I’m not one to toot their horns, but those girls actually seem to have put in the hours and learned something about the fashion biz. No on likes someone crashing a party and trying to gain unwarranted cred simply based on name. And, frankly, her name isn’t worth much, so I don’t know what Ungaro was hoping to achieve with this.
When all you do for years is basically appear in dreadful movies and become a tabloid mainstay, then you can’t expect much applause when you suddenly pop up in Paris, of all places, as a new fashion “designer.” She needs to take a break and figure out what the hell she wants to do, other than feed the frenzy.
It looks like Lindsey’s 60 year-old self came back from the future in a time machine.
She needs to get out of the biz entertainment biz completely, she’s just another Tara Reid, more intersted in the parties than anything else. Parent Trap and Freaky Friday were almost a DECADE ago people! She can’t keep riding the “she can act” train based on those 2 roles when she was a CHILD (especially since all acting since then has been awful). Overated and overcooked now and she’s over.
it puzzles me why bad actress or reality TV people ( AKA LC) are invited to lead fashion in prestigious events. It makes no sense, yeah, a publicity stunt for sure, but in my opinion they should find a real fashion star for these jobs.
Ugh, what’s with all the hearts on the runway? So childlike–most of the clothing in this line is FUG!
Actually, many of the outfits look very L.A.~~ you could easily find these styles on the boulevards and in the clubs~~ true, some of the outfits need a silk camisole or something, but L.L.’s fashion show isn’t as bizarre as everyone seems to want it to be.
Kind of all the same one shoulder/no shoulder, teeny short dresses, not made for us normal girls. All the same shoes…..And pasties………just what we want to wear for a weekend night out! I like what some other commenter said: maybe it’s time for Lindsay to go to college, get an education, THEN think of a career. It’s obvious she’s bottoming out, as all her last things have bombed in the public sector. The media loves her, but that’s not enought to make it.
I always check out the runway pics from NY and Paris. This is another case of trashing something because Lindsey was involved. Yes, all the hearts were stupid and there was nothing breathtaking, but it certainly wasn’t even close to the worst things I’ve seen come down the runway over the years. It was a perfectly meh show. Not the end of the fashion world as it is being portrayed.
I agree – I’ve seen wayyy worse. I’m no fashionista but I would certainly wear quite a few of those dresses.
If you saw the video of Lindsay being interviewed after the show, you would have seen a woman so gacked & jacked up that she couldn’t even speak. The girl needs help and quickly. She is dying before our eyes.
