I’ve noticed that the I-Tunes MP3s are the full length versions of all of the songs, rather than the edited versions as shown on the program. This has me so excited at the possibility of full length “music videos” for the songs appearing on the dvd/blu-ray season one boxset as possible bonus features. I would love that so much! Great episode! I loved all 4 songs.
I feel bad for voting for the only song that didn’t involve Chenoweth, because she was amazing, but Somebody to Love was just plain amazing. As were the 3 Chenoweth sang, but just not as good.
Loved this episode. Even better than the pilot! Every single song was a home run. I hope that future episodes are more like this: focused on the singing and a lot less of the goofy downer subplots — except those involving nasty nefarious Sue.
And I’ve got my fingers crossed that they find a way to keep Kristin Chenoweth in the cast. If I can’t have “Pushing Daisies” at least let me have Kristin.
Anyone see the complete “Idina vs. Kristen” motif in “Maybe this time”?? I mean come on! Lea looks just like Idina for starters. She was wearing black, Kristen wearing white. And just like the real life “Idina v. Kristen” the IDINA trumps! I love Lea Michele!
Love Kristen Chennowith. She is awesome. I really love group numbers with great harmony and I liked that everyone got a small showcase in “Somebody to Love.” All of the musical numbers are great. I don’t like trying to pick a favorite.
Alone made my heart flutter because it was Matthew & Kristin singing together. But…Somebody to Love made my heart soar, and that’s why it was the best.
Somebody to Love was amazing, but I also really liked Maybe this Time. My order goes: 1.Somebody to Love 2. Maybe this Time 3. Alone 4. Last Name
“Alone”
Hands down, without a doubt. My favorite 80s power ballad sung by my favorite performer. Even I was stunned.
“Last Name” was incredible too, and the contrast in “Maybe This Time” was beautiful.
I do wish it had been Amber Reilly singing all of “Somebody To Love” though (and I would have loved seeing “April” and “Finn” rehearse it, just to hear K. Chenoweth sing Queen.)
