I saw the trailer for New Moon on the big screen last night and practically fell out of my seat… Little Taylor has grown up! I don’t feel like such a perv for being on Team Jacob any more! Woo!
I’m not sure how anyone can find Taylor to be “hot”
He has a nice face, but his roided up body is really disturbing…especially when I remember that he’s only 17. When you look at his pics from last year and this year, there’s NO way he did all that “naturally”

For real? Unnatural? It is completely possible to put that much muscle on in a short period of time. The kid is very well disciplined. He does martial arts, for crying out loud.
look up pictures from when taylor was 14, 15, 16. He’s ripped. And i don’t mean this in a “he’s so hot” kinda way. Just in a “he’s realy physcially active” kinda way.
I’m not a Jacob fan, but I highly doubt steriods had anything to do w/ his ‘new’ body – remember, teenagers’ bodies change fast, and it’s definitely not impossible to gain that much muscle/definition at that age. In fact, it’s easier to do at 17 than at 27…
I don’t know about Taylor, but my son did bulk up and get more muscles for football in one year, eating lots of healthy food and drinking protein shakes at age 16.
IF you actually looked at a pic of him from last year, you would know he doesn’t look THAT much different. You would also know that he’s a black belt and has been physically training since he was a young kid. Therefore, he was already in fantastic shape so he just stepped up his routine when his job was on the line. He worked out hardcore for nearly a year, and he’s at an age where it’s easy to build muscle!
Sorry, I can admire what Taylor has done to prepare for the part, but he’s still just 17. I feel a little less pervy lusting after Robert at 23!

Oh dear. I will be offending so many people with this, but I think Pattinson is painfully unattractive, and I’ve thought so since I first saw him as Cedric Diggory. Not because of his hygiene habits or anything, but because his face looks truly weird. The shape of his head and the ridiculous bouffant hair and his facial features…I find them weirdly out of proportion. I’m sorry, RPattz fans! Not to be a perv, given his age, but Taylor has the better face (when he has short hair) and the better body. I don’t even need my men to be especially muscley types, but Pattinson just doesn’t seem to have any definition or substance to his body – he freely admits that his muscles in New Moon are drawn on him. Well I always go for Rob. He has a beautiful face, amazing features. Incredible eyes and lips, not to mention the jaw. He is tall and lean, interesting. Actually, I have read all of the books and saw Twilight in theaters. The books, while compelling, were poorly written and lacked character development. The movie had laughable dialogue and Edward and Bella had little chemistry. The acting done by these two was also quite poor. The theater I was in was full of laughter and not at the comedic aspects of the movie but at the dialogue and the acting. As for Pattinson, I find him not particularly attactive. His greasy appearance is off-putting. Taylor has a scrunched face that I don’t find attractive. There is my constructive criticism. Are my comments now validated?
Bilbros, trust me, I know plenty of people who have actually read Twilight (in some cases, all four books, because their friends were reading them and/or they wanted to know what happened) and didn’t like it. I agree that a lot of the haters haven’t read the books, but a lot of them have. I love Twilight, but the excuse of “They only hate it because they haven’t read it!” gives me an automatic case of eye-roll. It IS possible to read it and not like it.
Actually Lindsey, that was much better, and duly noted. I disagree with the character developement. I think that in a sea of negative aspects to Stephenie’s Twilight world, the character development was a positive one. I agree that the storyline has problems, Breaking Dawn anyone? And the movie was awful, plain and simple. But I disagree that Robert and Kristen were terrible. They saved that movie from completely bombing and are definitely the saving graces in the movie franchise.

I’m pro-Twilight coverage on here, as long as it’s genuine news. New trailers, casting, photos, soundtrack, etc.? Bring it on. Posting a tired rehash of “Who’s Hotter?!” when it’s a slow news period? Meh, sheer laziness on EW’s part, but I’ll bite.
First, I will say that Pattinson will probably never look as good as he did playing Cedric Diggory. He looked far more attractive in that role, to me, than he ever will playing Edward Cullen.
Second, Lautner is at a few disadvantages, namely being seven years younger than Pattinson and in the role of the guy who doesn’t get the girl (a grown adult girl, anyway, but let’s not get into the pedophilia, er, I mean, “imprinting”).
So while I’ll freely say that Pattinson is more attractive, I can do say being aware of my inherent biases in saying so. If they were the same age and Jacob wound up with Bella, you might see different opinions, who knows.
And having lived in the UK and currently being in a relationship with an Englishman, the accent loses its giggly little girl novelty pretty quickly, so I’m not even using it in consideration.

Yep. Honestly, even being a Twilight fan, I don’t find Edward Cullen to be particularly interesting. You’ll also notice that I didn’t compare Cedric and Edward as characters, but rather compared PATTINSON’S looks in the roles. And to me, he was more attractive playing Cedric Diggory.
I didn’t say that the British accent wasn’t hot (which British accent are you referring to? East End, Scottish, Welsh, Liverpudlian, Mancunian? It makes a difference). What I did say was that A) I’ve lived in the UK for extended periods of time, and B) My boyfriend is English. And when you’ve been around those types of accents for YEARS, you stop slobbering over them and they become “normal.”
Edward Cullen, to me, is a very interesting character. He is wonderful in ways, but then he can be a really irritating whiney a$$. I like that he has depth and layers and is not a cheesy perfect person. And yeah, I wasn’t comparing the characters either. I actually much prefer Robert Pattinson in real life to Edward Cullen or any character that he plays. Robert is much more compelling and handsome, and less flawed and tortured.
And the British accent thing. Boy, you went over my head with that one. I’m American, so the British accent is sexy to me because I’m not used to it.

Although I guess that depends on your perspective. I’ve had friends say that Edward is creepy because he has the mind of a guy who’s 100+ years old and he likes a 17-year-old girl. On the other hand, I’ve heard that his mind is still that of a 17-year-old boy, that his mentality doesn’t necessarily age. Which one it actually is would tend to influence whether Jacob and Renesmee’s relationship is romantic or creepy as all hell.
Okay, here’s what I think…as far as Edward, I firmly believe that he’s a 17-year-old. Maybe he’s extra mature as a result of his century of strolling the earth – but he’s 17 to me.
As for Renesmee – though I may have missed it from flinching all the way through Breaking Dawn – I don’t remember reading that she stops aging at 17. Let’s say she does. Jacob CAN stay 17 as long as he wants to, and we can call it romantic. How about that, are you sold? Would you want to read the story?

I can’t say I hated the book. The Renesme thing was disturbing, Bella’s bones breaking during the pregnancy etc… But I did enjoy the end of the book when Bella was coming into her new found vamp powers. Absolutely loved the end when she could use her powers to let Edward see how she felt.
That being said…
I’d have to say Eclipse definitely my fav book, the scene with Edward, Jacob & Bella in the tent was awesome and & can’t wait to see that on film.

This is actually one of the reasons I didn’t really much care for Breaking Dawn. Bella became such a friggin’ Mary Sue (if you don’t know what that means, look it up) that it was almost nauseating. She got to be the most bestest super-special vampire evar!11!1 Now I read and enjoyed the first three books, even knowing that Meyer was basically inserting herself into Bella’s character. Bella is a self-insertion you can spot a mile away. But that didn’t stop me from liking the first three books.
It got unbearable, though, when Bella ended up getting everything she wanted with virtually no sacrifice on her end, getting awesome vamp powers with no problems at all controlling herself, and not having to fight or suffer in any way. That makes for good self-insert fan fiction, but not an ending to an overarching story in what is allegedly a “saga.” I like the series, but I’d NEVER call it a “saga” with a straight face.
Mary Sue Bella is one of the other reasons why I’ll only be seeing Breaking Dawn to laugh at it.
