They had a preview on Conan’s show the night before this episode aired, showing how they prepared on the Jeopardy! set and a test round they ran before the actual game. While Andy was being sociable, Wolf Blitzer was being a standoffish jerk, or at least that’s how the editing portrayed him. Can’t say I feel too sorry for the guy- but bad news for the charity he chose.
Wolf Blitzer was an “expert” on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? last month, and he got that completely wrong, too.
Wolf is a moron, but it doesn’t have anything to do with the network they are one. I’m sure there are people that are just as stupid on Faux News.
BTW, it’s a known fact that most tv anchors are not the sharpest tools in the shed.
Way to go, Andy. I was shocked at the $39,000 going into Final Jeopardy. And a final score of $68,000? Unreal. I’ll be rooting for him in the semi’s.
I was watching this unfold on the couch next to my visiting mother who was concentrating on her lapop computer. As Wolf kept getting answers wrong I got more iintrigued until I had my first laugh at him. A couple more wrong and my mother asked what was funny. A couple more wrong and my mother decided to start watching as well. A couple more and she has her first gigle at Wolf. A couple more wrong and we are both laughing out loud at this moron not only answer wrong but to give the most stupid answers for every question. It was a priceless moment, thanks Wolf.
Did anyone notice that Trebek tried to cover for Blitzer just before the final round question by saying “Wolf, things have not worked out as well as you had hoped for, I’m sure. Andy is so much faster on that signaling devise today.” Blitzer was at MINUS $4,600… He was in the negative because he WAS pressing his buzzer first, he just wasn’t getting any of his answers right. On the other hand, Andy was answering his correctly.
OK, normally I’m pretty good at Jeopardy and I get almost all of the questions right… but the last two mentioned in this post (“selected from a larger work” and “5-letter word that refers to an economic crash”) have got me stumped. I’m totally drawing a blank. Can someone tell me what the correct responses are?
Hey philip. It’s “PANIC”. are hanging out with wolf?
The Child(s) dock was rather petty.
I saw that episode with Wolf Blitzer. I gotta tell ya, that s#@$ was soooooooo funny! I was on the floor laughing! I even emailed him on CNN page and asked him WHY! LMAO!
