He’s reluctant to give scoop about his hotly anticipated debut disc, and yet he gives Idolatry exclusive info about his two newest songwriting collaborators. He reads tour reviews — even the too-cool-for-the-room negative ones — and yet ultimately, he doesn’t give a hoot about what he refers to as the “blahdee blah blah-blah.” (And this is why we love him.) That man has got to be one of the nicest, coolest, non-boring people ever to come out of Arkansas and AI. When I listen to him sing, it soothes me, calms me, and tell me how is that boring? Not everyone has to be a rocker to be a singer. And quit comparing Kris to John Mayer. Kris is in his own league and I love the man to death! He is just so adorable to watch on interviews, he never has a bad word to say to anyone. I know when I listen to Kris Allen sing, that my mood will be lifted and I am so happy for him and hope he sells so many CD’s that there will be a back order for people wanted more!!!

Danny Gokey was GREAT in the Albany show. I never really cared for him during the competition (to put it mildly), but his performance changed my mind.

Although he won, the true prize was given to the deserving one, for he didn’t get anything after that announcement, and it all was given to Adam. Don’t even go there. Your argument is invalid. We vote for the contestant we want to win, not the one who we think is best. If anything, we vote for the contestant who is best at our preferred style of music.
Besides, can you please get over the finale? I know you’re still bummed that Adam didn’t get the title but does it really matter in the long run? Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.
So you did NOT vote for the best singer, but rather you voted for the person you wanted to win for non-singing reasons? Interesting. And sort of invalidates the entire competition, which the judges kept saying was in fact a singing competition. The judges really needed to understand that apparently it’s a popularity contest and singing is only tangential. (And please note that I say this as someone who does like Kris.)
I think I may watch Idol, just so I can keep up with Idolatry! Love Michael & his team! They know how to have fun, and ask great questions!!!!
Laura, it really is a guilty pleasure. I look forward to the show each week and when the season is over, I get so bummed out. I’ve been watching Idol from Season 1 and it’s my favorite show. Of all the seasons, I think Kris Allen, Adam Lambert and David Cook are by far the most talented. These guys kick ass and rock! Love you guys!

I love your interviews with Kris. You have terrific people skills and ask just the right questions. But, I do say there is a genuine rapport between you and Kris.
