More uncomfortable than having to acknowledge that Levi Johnston is, technically, an attractive man, is watching his appearance on Larry King Live last night, which was guest-hosted by his Teen Choice Awards date, Kathy Griffin.
I appreciate Griffin’s publicity stints and can’t wait to hear what she’ll say about Johnston in her act — if he was willing to talk about his problems with the Palins on-camera, imagine what he said to her off. But I don’t need to see or hear directly from Levi, aspiring underwear model, again. Maybe that was secretly Kathy’s plan: After he struggled to read a letter a fan asked her to get to Miley Cyrus aloud — the handwriting was bad — I don’t think that will be a problem.
More enjoyable was last night’s season finale of Bravo’s My Life on the D-List. Kathy thought she was getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, so she went scouting for her preferred location and stumbled upon Ryan Seacrest’s. I love it when Kathy physically collapses, like she did when she realized Seacrest’s star was right next to Barbara Walters’. Yes, Levi Johnston is definately attractive…But he’s not even a D-list celebrity (as Kathy would know), he’s the ex-boyfriend of the daughter of the ex-Governor of Alaska? WTF???????? But they were also on TMZ last night, walking arm and arm down the street and none of the paparazzi knew who he was. It was all about her. She’s nuts.

Horrible. I hope he was paid for this so he can finally start contributing to the upbringing of his child. I would pay if I had a job, he told People mag a while back – I’m sure that’s a comfort to his son. Too bad Kathy Griffin doesn’t appreciate the struggles of a single mother and instead chooses to mock her.
Believe me, I know how hard it is to raise a child when you’re a teenager, and that’s as part of a couple who stayed together and who had parents to help out. But please, don’t act like Bristol Palin is some struggling single mother like she has to work the night shift at Taco Bell to make ends meet.

“Struggling” my a**. If indeed she’s struggling, it’s nobody’s fault but her own and that of her parents, who can talk the talk but obviously not walk the walk when it comes to teaching their children responsible sexual behavior.

I’m ashamed at how much more attention I paid when he said he was going to take his clothes off. *sigh*
People can say what they want about Kathy Griffin but I find her to be a suprenely talented, intelligent, and hardworking woman. It’s a reason why her show is in 5th season. She has a magic that she tranlates in her show. She is also a good producer. Other people have tried the reality show that revolves around them other comedians and it has not worked for them. I was skeptical about this season at first because of the change in format but it has been brilliant. Still lots and lots of Oprah (the unofficial 5th cast mate) as well as all the other stuff we love. The finale was all kinds of awesome. Who doesn’t love Suzanne Summers and her “compound” or Carol Channing? And Kathy’s mom going to speak had me tearing up. Mrs. Maggie is such an awesome woman and raised Kathy well. Shes a fire cracker just like her daughter. I wish you more and more success Kathy and continue to fight the odds and prove the haters wrong.
I love Kathy Griffin & thought her appearance with Sommers and Manilow was D-lightfully D-List. Now I know I can expect the Fanilows to yank my chain for saying that. When they look at old Barry they don’t see a closeted Vegas crooner but a “droolworthy, megasex god,” a virile babymaking machine with a secret wife (his “manilove,” I guess) and family. Clearly he has a better sense of humor, and better self-awareness, than his more rabid fans. He and Suzanne made amusing D-Listers.
I love Kathy Griffin…Always have & really enjoy her D-List. Face it–Levi Johnston is HOT!! The boy is not all that bright, but he is awful pretty to look at. The parody was typical KG. I am more surprised by Larry King handing over the show to her. Time for him to consider retirement!!

Great season for Kathy. And I must say she did a great job on Larry King. Levi was embarrassingly bad. Wow. There seems to be not a lot going on upstairs. Just like the baby’s grandma. I wanted her to drill him on why he hates the gays since she has many gay supporters. Now THAT would’ve been interesting. I loved when she said…Can’t you read? Seemed like he couldn’t.
