1.I’m very curious to see if Scarlett tries a Russian accent, as the character is — in the comics, anyway — an Eastern bloc operative named Natasha Romanoff.
2. Red is a very, very good color for her.
3.I wouldn’t have thought it, but we’ve got a battle of the comic-booky redheads brewing, with Rachel Nichols appearing as Scarlett in August’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. And ScarJo has come out swinging.
So,I put it to you, PopWatchers, if you’ve gotta choose between knockout actresses with red manes, black leather cat suits, and big guns, who’s your pick?
Might make more sense if you compare Scarlett’s Widow to the actual redheaded Joe…Scarlett (also in the movie).

So if I have to choose one (do I HAVE to?) I’d go with Nichols. I have no idea if she’s a natural redhead or not (and I never will since I’m not delusional enough to think I’d ever have a shot at finding out…and because my girlfriend would end me if I ever tried) but she seems more convincing as a redhead. To me, the Black Widow pic just looks to me like “Scarlett Johansson with red hair” (not that that’s a bad thing) as opposed to a convincing redheaded woman.
My vote is for Scarlett…she looks AMAZING!!!
I don’t think ScarJo will need Kevlar to fill out the top of her costume.

Excellent point, though Nichols is no slouch in that department either. If you’ve seen P2, you know what I’m talking about. Oh wait, no one’s seen P2…ok, how about her brief turn as the hot green babe in “Star Trek”? Let’s see ScarJo rock the green body point…no, seriously, let’s SEE it.
ScarJo looks really hot, but she looks like she’s wearing a wig. Maybe that’s because she’s so famous that we associate her with blond hair. Nichols looks more like a natural redhead (even though she may not be). The other problem is that ScarJo can’t act very convincingly, so I’ll be shocked if she can pull this role off well. As for the breasts, both girls are pretty huge, so they’re about even there.
My choice is Scarlett…

I’m voting for ScarJo! It’s a tough race, but i think inevitably she’ll appear in the better movie!
Johansson is all bod and no talent. Her Black Widow is destined to be as bad as Natasha the Russian baddie from Rocky and Bullwinkle. Rachel Nichols wins–no contest.

If she sports a Russian accent, that will be stupid. Spies that are worth a darn generally don’t ask for ‘nuclear vessels’ (which is exactly why that bit was funny). If she gets mad or injured and starts speaking very fluent Russian, well, that’s nothing less than I expect from Johansson. I’m not a huge fan of her career, and was bummed about Emily Blunt missing out… But as sad as I am that Blunt’s not in this, I have to admit that I actually think that role is in pretty capable hands.
I think we should wait until the movies come out so that we can judge them on well they perform. ScarJo is hotter, of course, but that doesn’t mean she will be better in the movie.
