Idolatry producer Jason Averett is still under the weather, but he dragged himself to the office today to finish editing our final regular episode of the season — not counting next week's bonus LaKisha Jones performance, of course! — and we hope you'll agree it was worth the wait. Thanks for this. Now I get it, and in a good way. Kris Allen is certainly one of the best American Idol’s this franchise has produced. Hmmm .. the more I write the more sarcastic it sounds, and I don’t mean it in a sarcastic way at all. Kris is hugely talented, still not my taste, but fully worthy.
Isn’t Kris Allen the coolist dude in the world?
This interview shows that, above all, Kris knows and loves music. That plus his true talent will take him far. I’m am Adam fan, but they really aren’t rivals – there’s room for both of them.
That was totally worth the wait! Made me fall for Kris all over and remind me why he was my favorite all along.

Thank you so much. Kris seems very relaxed and confident. I hadn’t paid that much attention to him as my favorite was always Adam. Now I have gone back and downloaded some of Kris’ songs from iTunes and really enjoy them.

Michael, your interviews have been one of my favorite things about the show this year. You treated everyone fairly and everyone revealed themselves as a result.
What I got from Adam’s interview is that he a sweetheart even if I get tired listening to him sing. What I got from Danny’s is just how far over his head he was (and that he seems like a nice guy).
But what I got from Kris’s interview was that he’s much better that I had given him credit for – and I liked him enough to vote for him on finale night. But watching this back, and seeing all those performances like that, I realize just how deserving he is of the title. He also seems very smart and quietly determined.
I predict that Kris will do much better than people think.

Can you please explain WHY Danny is not included in the opening sequence? What is WRONG with you people? Don’t you understand that there are many AI fans that LOVE Danny Gokey and are getting highly annoyed with your unfair treatment of him.

I just want you to know Michael that through your totally unprofessional treatment of Danny you have pushed me from thinking you are interesting and intelligent to being unable to tolerate seeing you at all. It may be the case that you all did not prefer Danny and that you want to critique him – fine. However, your route of singling him out for special nasty treatment is just revolting and has lost you a potential fan and viewer.
