C'mon, 'Heroes,' really? THIS is how you end your season?

Man, some days, it’s hard to be a geek. It’s tough being the dude who cares about this stuff even if he doesn’t want to. Read the full post.

I really loved heroes in the past, but this current season was so bad i couldn’t even watch more then the first couple of episodes. And now i am glad i didnt.. .

I am done with this show.
The coolest people are gone and they find someway to bring back the lamest.
Sylar was the only thing keeping me in this season, but after the non fight scene not even that will keep me there.

I envy those who have already given up on Heroes and stopped watching. I too have given up but still come back for more of the same, weak methadone-like version of my addiction. And the no-fight-scene fight scene; I have been noticing lots of cheap camera tricks to avoid costly special effects, many in the last volume, but the absent fight scene makes me believe that they also cut their budget like the rest of America. Horrible writing and no FX? I’m afraid Heroes doesn’t have a leg to stand on. I’m done. I can quit anytime.

I truly enjoyed the finale and will definitely be back for next season. Not sure who normally posts on these message boards, but I have yet to talk with anyone, either adult or teenager (I teach high school), that didn’t REALLY enjoy the finale.
As for seeing the final battle… who cares? It wasn’t really a match… Sylar was never really in any danger in that fight, so what was there to see?
My biggest problem (of logic) was why they didn’t use Claire’s blood to bring Nathan back. Didn’t it bring HRG back from the dead previously?

The howl was convincing. I’ll give them that. All the rest? Golly! This entire “season” (if you really wanna call squeezing two volumes into a season) has made me question why I even liked the show in the first place. They just needed to off Sylar once and for all. I get that Zachary Quinto is popular (and will likely be moreso when Star Trek comes out), but they just need to kill everyone that’s dragging down the show. The fight disappointed, they never adequately explained why Hiro is physically hurt by using his powers, and they saved costs by pulling out of the fight. Come on! I’m done with the show.

    GREAT EPISODE!!
I actually really dislike anyone who bad-mouths Heroes because they you guys are trying to make it a joke.
You either are just saying this for the hell of it, or you don’t appreciate good T.V, HEROES IS THE BEST SHOW!

I like the analogy of an abusive relationship–I, too, keep coming back for more, despite being disappointed and bruised every week. Maybe I should follow my kids’ example, who watched the first season avidly but grew disinterested in season 2. If not for Chuck and Medium as bookends, I probably would have dropped the show by now, too. We’ll have to see if I smarten up by fall.

wow – is this show still on?

matched up against an AWESOME finale of Chuck, Heroes was sadly no match.
I was infuriated with the logic the characters lacked. Why doesn’t sylar use his power to get at the president instead of sneaking around? made no sense. why not use Claire’s blood to save nathan? and hiro.
arrrrgh. so many frustrating things about this finale…can’t even go into it all. Thank God Chuck was soo good.

I enjoyed the finale last night but I totally agree with #4. I wanted to see some MAJOR action and was sadly disappointed. But everything else was great.

Heroes had a decent end. Not the best, but considering the season, not the worst they could have done. I like the scene with the president where he shifted into Peter. Nice!
And I agree – Chuck needs to be brought back by NBC!

  • Maria

Seriously, WTF? “Heroes” gets renewed and we don’t know if “Chuck,” with the most awesome SEASON finale in quite some time, is still in the bubble? Really? *shakes head* “Chuck” deserves a spot in the schedule. “Heroes” has run its course.

  • maelston

“a little nod to Watchmen”…really? Heroes has been blatantly taking from the Watchmen since season 1.
-Season 2: Someone is killing off older superheroes.
    -Season 1: Sylar’s clock-centric episode…
    -Season 1: umm…the whole plot.

there were a few good twists in the episode, peter being the president was good. but didn’t claire bring her father back from the dead? why couldn’t she bring back nathan? all in all, it was okay. nothing like the first season. i’ve lost my excitement for the show even though i keep tuning in. the season was so uneven, they couldn’t decide where to go. characters need to die and some new blood and direction needs to happen. i may not be around much longer

Heroes stopped being relevant after season 1. It’s amazing how quickly such a promising show fell. There are lessons to be learned here, I’m just not sure what they are yet.
