'Twilight': 'New Moon' set footage with Pattinson and Lautner (plus Mary Hart says 'woof'!)

Entertainment Tonight took their cameras onto the closed set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon for fresh interviews with Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart. Basically, we get confirmation that Edward (Pattinson) will be in the film more than you’d expect having read the book, and that Lautner (Jacob) has, in fact, put on 30 pounds of muscle. Even if you’re not a Twilight fan, you’ll want to hear Mary Hart say "Woof!" (The woman is not wrong. Okay, kinda wrong. Lautner’s only 17.) Check out the two clips after the jump.

    It’s still a felony Mary

  • Snarf

    Behold the power of Steroids!

  • cas

Come off it she was gagga for Pattinson not Lautner. She was virtually drooling over Rob

  • iona

Lautner’s neck is so wide and his face so fat.

  • John

Pattinson has the presence of a huge Hollywood movie star like Pitt or Depp. the kids playing Bella and Jacob just dont have any presence at all and the acting scene was so wooden. The imbalance between Pattinson and the other two actors was palpable

  • helen

Rob Pattinson has got even hotter. Is that actually humanly possible. Phew.

  • di

Lautner trying to be some hot guy was hilarious. Failcob indeed. His scene with Kristen was cringeworthy. Pattinson sizzled though.

  • Elizabeth

I tried to watch this but a 50+ woman trying to be “hep with the kids” is just such a turn off. I’m a fan of the books and enjoyed the first movie, but I think I’ll just hold off of anymore ET-related stuff when it comes to New Moon.

Ugh, just when you think EW has pulled back on the Twilight coverage, here we go again with a new post every time Rob Pattinson takes a dump.

  • Ash

I think Lautner looks great and all of them really. I’m excited to see how they capture the mood of the second book. Pattinson did look a little skinny though?

  • bonita

OMG i cant wait for the movie i am soooooo excited i love all the books …….i know that i will need a box of tissue when i go see this movie if i cried reading the book i know ill cry when i watch the movie ahhhhhh I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!:))))))))) taylor looks great but i love ROB lol

  • Jones

your comment caught me off guard. i laughed for a good 5 minutes. thanks for making my friday.

  • sc

lol i agree with iona.. taylors neck did look so wide haha but i still think hes hot but im definitely team rob!!

Here we go again with this Twilight-thing. All the marketing budget is apparently going to EW… No movie is worth this much coverage on a single site. No movie.

I have to agree with Marko, there is an obscene amount of Twilight coverage on this site. That said, Rob is looking delicious, and I know Taylor looks a little big around the face and shoulders, but that’s good for the character. He looks older and will pull of the look…but the wig he wears looks terrible. He’ll look a lot hotter when he’s got his hair short (they show a quick clip). That said, the acting still looks terrible. Even my beloved Rob wasn’t that great in the first movie, but the scenes with Kristin and Taylor were even worse. And it looks like that hasn’t improved.

  • alicia

I don’t get the obsessive Twilight thing, or the Robert Pattinson thing. I read the books, and I saw the movie. I think Rob is just an okay actor, and Kristen is worse. I haven’t seen too much of Taylor so I won’t judge until I’ve seen New Moon.

  • sloan

jacob black is so sexy. so is edward but im sorry, he aint got nothing on wolf boy. I really wanna see what he looks like without his shirt on. cant wait!

  • Christina Rueda

this interview looks good. the script i hear is better then the first, so the story should be stronger and the actions.

  • Sarah B.

Well this site is a saver! for those of us twilight fans that want the update! I have a counter and it’s 209 days until new moons released to theaters!!!! It will be great just as the first one is! There’s so much they could do with it, although things will have to be changed from the book in order to make it all fit into the movie. Either way i have full faith in Rob, Kristen n Taylor. No one could have filled edward, bella or jacobs shoes better! GO TEAM TWILIGHT!

  • ToAlicia

I agree. I read that books for my girlfriend and didn’t find them that good. If anything they were ridiculous. Edward Cullen was overbearing and practically abused Bella up until the end of the 4th book. Also Rob Pattinson, I don’t get the attraction but I loved the commentary he added to the first movie on the DVD. I like the music he contributed to the soundtrack and wish he would quit acting to work on music because he is a much better musician than actor.

  • tmarei

these hollywood reporters are so in love with themselves and are more interested in being in the spotlight then allowing the people interviewed to talk and share…so annoyed with all of them.

  • sam

rob looks hotter than ever>>love you rob
    and taylor looks hot too
cant waite to see the movie

  • Queenbmia

I am so a team Jacob fan. I loved that kid every since he was in Shark Boy Lava Girl…LOL!! I agree with you Sloan Wolf bou is off the chain.

  • Susa

    LOVE all the Twilight coverage!
and just so everyone understands this:
The reason that EW is covering Twilight, is because of the GINORMOUS number of Twilight fans there are. THe more articles about Twilight there are, the more hits that this website will get. I don’t understand why you guys are all confused about this…its really not that hard to understand.
I can’t WAIT for New Moon, now that there’s a great director, and a bigger budget, I know that the movie will be epic :)
But, I have to say, ET’s coverage was stupid. They hyped it up sooo much, and then barely gave us anything new! :(

  • Kara

    Robbbbbbbbbb

  • EmilyS

I feel bad because the cast of new moon and everyone feels like they have to make sure this movie is perfect for everyone but alot of epople are expecting differnent things, and its harder if people are like ohh blahh i wanted that in the movie, and the other person was like ” oh i was dying for that part to be in there” so people should jsut sort of back off. not trying to be mean or anything but lets give them some slakc.

  • kirsty

i so love the twilight books and films BUT i would like to see the official new moon trailer

  • Love Kristen

I disagree. I think that Kristen Stewart is very charismatic – her face jumps out at you, just like a movie star’s should – and I think her acting was natural and believable.
