The facts are these: Fans and stars of the canceled Pushing Daisies gathered at PaleyFest this past weekend to watch the series’final three, unaired episodes. To which I say: Harumph! Why couldn’t I be there? Ever since the network decided to kill the show last November, I’ve been one of those fans wishing ABC had chosen to honor critical and fan adoration over ratings, and give it one last shot. (How can I not support a show that guest starred Joel McHale?) Why crush the touching ABC dramedy in its youth? And, seeing as there is still a healthy group of fans begging for its revival, why not even consider lifting it from its coffin? (Sure, there’s always the comic book series, but it’s just not the same.)
It makes me wonder: Since there is still support for the show, can fans do anything to revive the series? Typically, fan tactics to bring canceled TV shows back to life have had mixed degrees of success (see: Jericho and Firefly). But what can we Pushing Daisies fans do to put the show back on the air? Bake ABC execs several batches of pies? Ideas, PopWatchers?

Bring it back already, ABC! At the very least they could run this season (including those missing 3 episodes) over the summer. I’m sure it’d be loads better than any of the other crap they push on us then. Is there an ABC email address? We could flood it with pictures of pies if we can’t send the real thing…
Still crossing my fingers for this one to be touched and brought back. It’s sad i know, but I really want Chuck and Ned to have their ‘happy ever after.’
Bring back PUSHING DAISIES. Our family loves it! Quirky humor, mystery, wit, sarcasm, the setting and prose! We love it!!
If you find the ABC email , let me know so that i can flood their mail boxes, until they revive this SHOW
God I still miss that show so much. It was so great to have something so funny, heartwarming and creative to look forward to watching each week. Such a stellar cast and great writing. I think sending daisies to ABC would be a nice gesture, but I don’t have any faith that it would do anything to change their minds. If only…
YES!!! We need this show and this great love story.
“Olive” was on the view last week. She said that the last 3 episodes of PD will air on Saturdays starting at the end on May.She also thinks there is a movie in the works to tie up loose ends.
Pushing Daisies is rightfully dead. I loved the show before the writers strike happened. After the writers strike, it was never the same. It seemed like maybe the writers used the strike to go shopping for a new job since they knew they were on a sinking ship due to the ratings. Clearly, the best writers found new jobs and the show was never the same.
ABC = bastards!
I love this show – I have all S2 episodes on my mp3 player – but it is my understanding that the main creative director (Bryan Fuller) has pretty much already moved on. It sucks, but maybe all we have left it excitement for the DVD this summer to see those final three eppis.
Shows I love get cancelled all the time and I understand why. I really do. But this one really stings because it was like nothing else on tv, so hopeful, so much fun. I know it’s beyond a long shot but I keep hoping that ABC will somehow reconsider. Hey they redid CUPID. The only thing that will work is if somehow tons of people turn out Saturday at 10pm in May. Again, not likely, but I am dreaming ABC will rconsider. The only thing is Chi McBride is comitted to a pilot on FOX.
I loved the look of this show. The supersaturated colors and the color schemes were fantastic. I would love to know what happened to the “colorists” (tweaks the color in the film/video) and the production/costume designers for this show.

I love this show! But I just don’t see ABC bringing it back, unfortunately. There isn’t a ton of network support for the overly quirky shows, unless they’re winning awards.
Yes! But ABC is not one for sticking with comedy – especially quirky ones – I bet The Unusuals does not make it either…Like Life on Mars….maybe the demographic is too narrow. PD was wonderful and beautiful to look at – imagine it in HD!
Pull a Family Guy, and make sure to buy the first and second seasons on DVD! If the sales are successful, it could make ABC reconsider or at least feel stupid for pulling a great show!
I haven’t seen the second season, but the first was magic and as close to perfect as a TV show can get. I think Pushing Daisies should have aired alongside Deperate Housewives or should have been on cable. Showtime would have been a great home for this wonderful series. ABC has been on a killing spree this past TV season, dropping shows left and right. I do believe that networks need to give these new shows time to grow. Let’s not forget that Cheers was the lowest rated show in it’s first season and look how it grew.
