'Runnin' Wild...From Ted Nugent' already my new favorite reality show (title)

Categories: Reality TV, Television

Tednugent_lTed Nugent’s latest reality project, Runnin’ Wild…From Ted Nugent, will premiere on CMT this August. According to the press release: "In each one-hour episode…Nugent instructs three competitors on one of what he calls the ‘Big Five of Survival,’ which include psychology of Survival, Shelter, Water, Fire, and Food, and will then design an obstacle centered on that skill. The lessons learned in each episode will be put to the test in the ‘big hunt,’ as the competitors try to survive on their own, all while Nugent and Rocco [his 18-year-old son], attempt to hunt them down. In this twist on the competition/elimination format, Nugent will determine the outcome himself at the end of each episode."

There are many things that I love about this. Of course, the title. Hysterical. But also the fact that there is no mention of a prize because, presumably, getting to tell the story of how you were hunted by Ted Nugent — a member of the National Bowhunters Hall of Fame and the Board of Directors of the National Rifle Association — is gift enough. (Also, the "big hunt," for some reason, made me think of "the game" in the movie Gymkata. Please let there be a random pommel horse in the woods. Please.)

I read this short story, saw the Dollhouse episode they made of it, and have heard of the Jean-Claude van Damme movie based on it.

i haven’t seen the latest show yet, i’m sure it’s as good as the rest. I was actually interested in starting a youth oriented, educational type program in florida, that is not controlled by the state bean counters .I wont get into the details here, this area in florida (marion county – Ocala) is really feeling the crunch on businesses and families.
i mostly concern myself with the youths that my highschoolers hang with.I would be what most cool kids would want for a dad. but i feel i’m losing my kids to there peer group faster than i can keep up. I go hunting every season for everything. My son likes to go as well.however, none of my kids friends could survive one day roughing it . I recently took in a couple boys who have been kicked to the curb by there abusive parents. There are a lot of misguided youths in this area and i think they could benefit from a down to earth type hunter education program/ survivor skills course.

Shoot- going through being hunted by Ted Nugent and winning against one of the most well known big game hunters? I would think that would deserve a huge prize. Last year, the winner got 25 grand and a 35 grand truck. Now, that’s a prize. Bragging rights mean nothing. Anybody can make up stories.
