Robert is like a lot of hot people I know–they try to distract from the pretty by walking into poles or tripping or acting self deprecating. I think people take what he says half the time too literally, he’s not a sad sack. He’s just self deprecating.
I read the GQ article this morning, and after reading this Popwatch I was amused to see that we’re on the same wavelength. I too snickered and laughed at all the same spots, and felt that my initial impressions of this young man were spot on: he’s smart, self-effacing, uncomfortable in his celebrity and probably makes a very good friend. Let’s hope his personality is strong enough to resist the meaningless celebrity lifestyle that sucks so many young people in.
I love robert but I thought he could have been more gracious regarding little ashes. His co-star Javier Beltran said so many nice things about him and the film in Out Mag, and then you read Robert’s comments and they are so dismissive. It’s a tad tacky.
Rob is so self depricating. He never pushes himself forward or sells himself. He is a wonderful actor. I saw Little Ashes and was bowled over by his performance. I wish he’d watch his own performances so he coudl see for himself.
Beltran’s quotes ere rehearsed in OUT.Rob never lies.
The interview was old. Done last year. I think it would be a very different article now.
Rob could indeed be the next Ddepp. he needs management that look after him and not throw him to the wolves
He’s a wonderful and original actor.
Pattinson is like a young god who came to earth. This isn’t as weird as it sounds. He’s blessed with talent, good looks, and a wonderful sense of humor. Even his extraordinary sensitivity works toward honing his acting abilities. Despite the pain, everything will work for him. He’s intelligent enough to realize that and steer his ship carefully through the waters to ever greater things. He has the world’s attention. Something dynamic within him is manifesting itself.
I find Rob fascinating and the GQ article is refreshing. The EW journalist though cant write an entertaining article to save her life. She has sucked out all the energy
i was thinking the same thing, jan. that interview took place last year. robert would certainly come across in a somewhat different manner now. nevertheless, it will be a major seller for gq. cheers!
Tim Burton should work with Rob.
Il give Rob a call if he give’s me the chance to…

The GQ interview is 3 months old. Rob seems happier now and is that due to a potential romance with Kristen … since Tokyo.
Its the most ineresting interview Ive read in years,
