Dudes, Glee looks awesome. And not just because I may or may not have participated in numerous high school productions, not just because I enjoy choral music the way other people enjoy normal things, and not just because I think I’ve listened to the Spring Awakening soundtrack eleventy billion times. Also because it actually looks great!
Who doesn’t love a good hepatitis joke? God knows I do. That said, the show’s weird scheduling is rubbing me the wrong way. It’s going to premiere May 19 after American Idol, but it won’t air another new episode until the fall, which…sadface.
Are we going to sing when the spirit says sing, PopWatchers? Or does Glee look like it’s off pitch?

Soooo gay. Can not wait!
Between the guest stars (Victor Garber! Kristin Chenowith! Cheyenne Jackson!) and the ones they already have (Jane Lynch! Jayma Mays! Matthew Morrison yum!)
I cannot WAIT!
The 2 Spring Awakening alums don’t hurt either. Lea Michelle looks like she’s going to be the perfect prissy diva!
I am incredibly excited for this show for one reason: Ryan Murphy is the creator and he was the creator of Popular, one of the best, wittiest, darkly funny high school shows ever. I’m so in.
I’ll give it a shot for Spring Awakening’s sake.
looks like fun
so. awe. some.
i can’t believe we have to wait so long for this thing.
don’t get too excited. fox will probably end up canceling it like it has with every other good show they ever had (undeclared, arrested development)
This looks awesome – High School Musical as written by Judd Apatow. Can’t wait!
Dude, I cant wait!!! Kristen Chenoweth is gonna be on it…WOOT WOOT…
I don’t think this is the best way to introduce a show to the world. Why not just wait until fall? Good or not, a lot of the people that watch this may not be interested after just one episode. That being said, if there’s not enough interest shown, Fox will have until this fall to decide what to do with it. I guess I would call this plan so-so, but I would’ve preferred an extra episode of Fringe on May 19th instead
I am anticipating this show more than I’m anticipating the sixth “Harry Potter,” and that’s a big deal. Why?
1.) I think this is the closest a show will ever get to mirroring my own high school experience. Choir/theatre nerd here.
2.) The cast kicks butt. Matthew Morisson, Lea Michelle, Kristin Chenoweth, Jane Lynch… sign me up.
3.) It’s an hour long! And filled with music and comedy! I love hours, music, and comedy!
Okay, something I never got: what the hell IS “glee”?? Like, “gleeee, I’m so happy!” ? Something to do with high school musical productions? Just never heard of the term.
But otherwise, this looks funny. And if it’s got KC in it, I’m there. RIP Pushing Daisies.
I’m in – fo sho!
I agree, it’s SUCH a weird way to introduce the show, but it looks fabulous and funny.
Is the name of the school William McKinley High School? You can see the name above the trophy case in one of the shots. I don’t know how I feel about that reference.
