I killed Jenny… actually, we all did including everyone in the cast. With all that negative energy floating around, why shouldn’t it happen that way. Too bad the artistry of the first 2 seasons couldn’t have ended the show as well. Jenny, doing a swan dive off the balcony, which turns into a circus act where she dives into a small bucket from the top of the circus tent…
Yes it is I, Jennifer Schecter, writing from beyond the grave to let ALL you L word Fans, Who Really Killed Me…They all did, that is why they smile at the end, because they knew good ol’ Weezie hadn’t made the balcony secure…which means, that all they wanted to see me die. I was simply too good for them, this is what made them hate me, as one of the most complex, deliciously dark and hilarious characters the show had, they killed me off. You couldn’t find a better, more kickass character then me, and thats why the show has ended. No Jenny, no show!!!
I am so mad. i cant believe i waited this long for this. for weeks ive been saying if someone dosent hurry up and kill her, then i would jump through the TV and do it myself. I guess I should have!
Man, this show should have killed itself after season 2. Why the hell did Jenny have a completely new personality every week and how come people put up with her? This whole series made zero sense!

AAARRGHH!!! I’m a straight black guy who has been a longtime fan and seen every episode. I’d say this last one was a victim of Soprano-finale-itis!! Since there are people who loved and hated that ending, I guess it’s the same case here. For me, if you tell the audience ‘Jenny Dies’ right at the start, then this ambiguous ending can fit. What they did was ask us “Who Killed Jenny?” and if they ask the question, they owe us an answer! The writing has always been up and down, but the acting was consistently good to great, and I hope Leisha becomes the big star she deserves to be!!
I enjoyed the finale. The script was an interesting weave of six years.I liked how it was fragmented with actual time and the hours just prior-repeating significant scenes with characters who matured and experienced many life changes along with new events in lives (under construction). I felt there was resolution by the last scene. The characters arriving at the police station and walking into the camera and changing to actresses smiling and bidding farewell was a bon voyage to a show which will be remembered.
I love the L Word and will miss it. But the ending was so BAD. I would say I was disappointed but that would not touch the surface. I STILL can not believe it? They left us hanging on everything not just who killed Jenny. I do not get it. Was I supposed to get something out of the ending…was there a point to be made….can someone let me know.
I got the same thing that Jenny did below. I got that they were all in on it hence the “no one else asked for a lawyer” bit. We may not know who DID it – but they’re all guilty with their smug little smiles. Alice was my favorite – at least up until season 5, so if they do a spin off I will watch even if its on LOGO.
I don’t think ANY of the characters as written and developed would be capable of murder.i was loving this season until the last THREE episodes, actually; the show really seemed to de-rail ever since Max’s baby shower. The storytelling got very sloppy and sketchy. also WAY too much music throughout these last episodes, VERY distracting. And as long as Jenny could show up in the final slow-mo walks, why not DANA????
I logged onto EW.com to see who killed Jenny. I didn’t think I missed it. but I realized that I didn’t know this morning and since I also watch Lost – I question my ability to follow tv shows now …. so — I am glad to know, I am not crazy. Loved the show!! Sorry to see it go.
I thought that the finale was well put togeather, given the amount that had to be covered in one episode. The show has covered a lot of taboo and touchy subjects. I think that’s why I respect the actors and the writers so much. I love writing and hope to become successful with it some day. Shows like this are the definition of how creativity and our evolving culture can make something wonderful. I have loved watching and hope to see more from Ilene Chaiken.
I am a big fan of the show but I was very disappointed with the farewell. Nikki in the bushes very random. Max should have had the baby and gave it to Bette & Tina. It was very anti-climatic. Deja Vu….I felt last night like I did when the Soprano’s ended. A bunch of great acting and story lines that end like a defective fire cracker a bunch of smoke and a little pop.

Hosting a party at a club I must say everyone was angry. There was no confrontations with Jenny and no end to a long-hyped mystery. Additionally, everyone is going to spread the word to boycott any show by the producer and Showtime for doing this and I personally speak with 200 lesbians a week. By the way I am one of many faithful men who followed this show to its sloppy ending.
