This makes me very angry. Jimmy Fallon? Jimmy Fallon? Why not someone with a real personality instead of being considered charming. Not happy.

Look, I want him to succeed because I really love Fever Pitch.

Honestly, Jimmy Fallon is just an average talent type of guy that has done a lot with what he has because of his really high energy levels, which is admirable but still not enough to carry a show. He does have one thing that people are absolutely underestimating and that is energy & unabashadness. I suspect that he is going to be willing to do anything, even things that Conan wouldn’t do, anything to get a laugh, and that desperate energy just might work. he really needs to polish off his conversational skills and stop saying things like “like” too damn often, and he better be able to adlib because that is just necessary for a talk show host unless there will be some awkward silences and conversation moments. It’s going to be rocky in the beginning. Conan had it bad for a few years, but he hung on. We’ll see what happens here. I feel that some other guys should have gotten the chance, but it’s TV, stuff happens.
