Last night on The City After Show (yes, as in one of thoserecap shows where MTV emcees Jessi and Dan make fun of the night’sepisode using their screechiest voices), a trailer for season 5 of The Hills — or as I like to call it, The Hills: Does Anybody Out There Still Care? — premiered.
In it, Lauren analyzes her friendships, Stephanie gossips, Lo asksphilosophical questions, Audrina stares blankly, Brody acts as ashoulder to cry on, Spencer starts fights, and Heidi cries about losingher "favorite memory," a.k.a. Lauren.
I’m guessing I’m not the only one experiencing deja vu here. The above description can be used for just about any season of The Hillsthus far, so what about the trailer is supposed to be enticing? Whycan’t we see new excitement (i.e. Lauren’s supposed relationship with My Boys‘ Kyle Howard. Or heck, even Audrina’s house getting robbed)?

So I guess we are to assume that the psychic and the bartender live in a Hills-free vacuum? The psychic clairvoyantly knows about Lauren’s rocky relationships? The bartender had NO IDEA Spencer was engaged?! And what, is this “Spencer in the bar” a four-episode arc or something?!

I’m in the “can’t not watch it” crowd. Of course I’m going to watch it, no matter how stupid it is. Worse, I’m going to care about it, because I’m a sucker.

hey um well that was excitin new and old drama spencer will never change will he and hidie wake up hun and find someone new …i think lauren should give her a another chaance what could happen lol and good job person at the bar who gets hit by spencer funny ….love audreina but she aint a big part of the hills after her lil spill last season but i cant wait i love it !!!!

The fight clip looked intense! I think it will be the best season yet. I’ll be watching.
I heard that this isn’t a preview of Season 5 but a preview of bonus episodes of Season 4 and that whether this is Season 5 or not that Season 5 is going to be the last. It looks like it will be very dramatic. The whole thing with Spencer and Cameron and then of course with Lauren and Heidi. I do hope they become friends again and that Heidi dumps Spencer.
Although the show is stupid, we are all addicted because it is so much fun to watch this stupidity and get away from our real lives. Its fun to watch the drama lol…And yes…people are still watching… for this very reason!

i can’t wait for the hills to come in spring i love brody and lauren is amazing and i’m surprised that audrina moved out. i hope heidi and lauren get along this time. from, sasha
