'Privileged': Save it (if Robert Buckley can stay)

Robertbuckleyprivileged_lI had somehow missed the news that Lipstick Jungle‘s (and Flirty With Forty‘s) Robert Buckley was guest-starring on The CW’s Privileged last night, so you can imagine the rewind! I hit when I saw his name flash at the start of the episode. He was introduced as David, the smart, hot (but fully-clothed) new editor-in-chief of the magazine that Will’s dad is starting. Like David — who had to hire Will as his senior photography editor, per papa — I am over the Will and Megan drama. David told Megan that he couldn’t hire her because a start-up magazine staff doesn’t need the added stress of having to stroke Will’s ego every time he thinks Megan values someone’s opinion more than his. (Seriously, how whiny was Will last night?) While I’m now ready for Megan to call it quits with Will, if the writers managed to redeem him, I could totally get into a love triangle. I’m loving that David doesn’t seem too impressed with Megan yet, which means the tension could be a nice slow build. That is, if the series doesn’t end with the season finale on Feb. 24. (Reaper returns March 3 to take the Tuesday at 8 p.m. time slot, bumping 90210 back to Privileged‘s 9 p.m. hour.)

So, do you want a second season of Privileged? Is your order, like mine, contingent on Buckley sticking around for a bit? And do you vote for a love triangle, for Will and Megan to break up but work together, or for Will to man up, quit the job daddy got him, and leave town?

I am very happy to see that Robert Buckley is finding new work. If he sticks around, I may start watching Privileged.

This is one of my favorite shows on tv. I stopped watching 90210 after a couple of weeks, but kept watching Privileged. I was a little sad to see Charlie leave and I think I’d like to see more happen with Megan and her sister, since they seem to be getting a little closer now. I love what they’re doing with Laurel, Sage and Rose, though. Sage, as a character, has completely grown on me since the beginning of the show. As for Will and Megan… I like Will, but he’s turning into a whiny rich boy. And I didn’t even -realize- it was Kirby at first. I couldn’t place him. I rather like this character he’s playing over the one from Lipstick Jungle. Keep the show going! It’s nice to have something light hearted that doesn’t involve the characters sleeping around with everyone else. I was really impressed that Sage’s character was still a virgin, as was her boyfriend. It’s nice to see stuff like that on shows these days.

I love this show, gave it a look at the very start, it fills my void let by the Gilmore Girls (not as good, But could grow more on me), so I for one would like to see it back! when will we know? it really is a cute sweet show that I hope makes it!

This show is my favorite NEW show of the 2008-2009 season. I hate it was only ordered 18 epis and that it may be over. Buckley was great, he showed he could act while looking pretty. (Though not as pretty as on Lipstick) I do like the love triangle thing or at least a new love. I’d like him to stay as a regular but doubt it will happen. He could fill Charlies empty spot now that his anoying character was sent off. I do still have faith in Will, I don’t completely disagree with his wining and don’t fully agree with Megan…which I like. The show fills the void left by Gilmore (though not fully) and has me laughing and more enterested in the characters than any of the other new shows and alot of existing ones. It is by far my favorite on the CW network. I really hope it conitues. P.S. I also have really liked where they’ve taken Sage and Roses characters and stories lately. I’m in love with the two not so braty brats and their boyfriends. Tired of Megan’s family stuff though.

This is the best new show of this year! It replaces my Gilmore Girls obsession! I hated that Charlie left but David could be a great love interest for Megan!!!! Please don’t cancel this show!

Yes, please keep this show. I wish more people would watch.

How do you work for an Entertainment magazine and not know that Robert Buckley was going to be on Privileged. I heard that news over a month ago!!! I love this show. I hope so much it comes back next year… especially considering that it is having to “season finale” early for stupid Reaper!

I thought this show had such potential in the beginning. I used to LOVE Will, but he’s getting sooo whiny. AND he gives bad advice. Megan is also getting annoying. Mandy hit the nail on the head when she pretty much called Megan out for being self-absorbed and completely oblivious to anything not directly related to her. I do love Robert Buckley on the show though…that would probably guarantee that I would watch a second season of the show if it gets picked up…

CW has the best kept secret of the season PRIVILEGED—- everything about this show works and the performances just got better as the season progressed…

I love this shwo — it isn’t as good as Gilmore Girls, but it is a close second. I read the book when I heard that it was going to be made into a series — and it is SOOOO Much better than the book. The character development has gone from hating Sage to loving Sage; to loving Rose to not really liking Rose right now; and Anne Archer as Laurel was casting genius. I love this show so much, I actually watch the replay on Wednesday nights!!

I don’t watch this show, but I HEART Robert Buckley. I am volunteering my services for mother of his children anytime he is available. I’ll be watching this episode online. And if they add him to the cast and keep the show on, it’ll be my new favorite show.

I’d love to see another season. And here’s hoping for a summer Season 1 DVD release.
