That last sentence is my favorite Hurley quote!
Unquestionably one of my all time fave episodes of Lost. I loved “The Constant” just like everyone else, but this ep was right up there with it for me. When Hurley finally starts the van, you are so pumped for him. The last scene of him contentedly driving around the field is one of my signature scenes from all 4 seasons.
Oh, and one more thing, on a bigger note: who doesnt love Hurley? I mean honestly, is there a more beloved character on TV then that guy? Maybe Jim from the Office, but is there ANYONE whos like “Man I hate Hurley, he sucks!” LOL. Him busting out of the woods against the Others in the Van to save the day was great.
I LOVE this episode. Hurley’s van story was heartwarming, and Sawyer’s “hooked on phonics” line to Jin makes me laugh out loud every time.
YAY for LOST! It’s almost as exciting a day as yesterday! (Almost.
) I’m amused that people admit they liked this ep. When it first came out, they were like “Boo-hoo! Where’s the mythology!!! What a filler episode!” I personally liked it cuz it invoked more humor a took a break from the tension. Glad to see others agree! (And who doesn’t like Hugo?)
Most of my favorite quotes usually come from Sawyer. For example, regarding “Watership Down” he said, “Hell of a book… It’s about bunnies.” I mean, really. That just about sums it up, right? And, of course, the whole phone conversation between Desmond and Penny in season 4′s “The Constant.” If that doesn’t give you chills, you should prolly see your doc (jensen?) cuz you might be clinically dead.
DEAD excited about tonight.
To Lisa:
I’m not sure if your question regarding Watership Down was sarcastic or not, but yeah, Sawyer’s description sums up the book. It’s a search-for-a-new-home-after-the-old-one-gets-blown-to-smithereens kind of adventure novel, except most of the protagonists/antagonists are bunnies (except one who was a bird…I think it was a vulture, but it’s been about a decade since I read it, so I might be wrong).
I LOVE HURLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for sharing this wonderful quote.
I love Hurley!
