'Momma's Boys': The best show that should never have been made

NBC made sure that made a show where all 3 mothers weren’t not prone to accepting a black girl; Its like they really put us out there to be disrespected….
The black women on this show was educated, pretty and classy, but none of them had a chance, 2 of them was picked off because they stood up to Mrs.B and that was consider disrespectful (whatever) I hate the fact that its okay for white girls to date successful black men but its not acceptable for black women to date nice white guys, Everybody look down on black women like we never were Queens but SISTAS we are Queens it must be something about us that got everybody hating we going to keep doing us like our grandmothers and mothers been doing we dont need white people ir NBC to justify thatfor us(whatever)

Mrs. B’s comments have offended and hurt many people and her excuses can’t justify that. I’m not sure if she realizes that essential fact. I hope she finds a way to love and respect others especially herself. Of course she can say what she thinks, but it also tells us what kind of person she is. Forgive, find peace & God bless.

It is hard for me to belive that the history background of any girl can be that thin, it should be at least a phone book size even if it is simple FOIA check. Furthermore, how do you check all of those private adult websites agaist these girls? I would really like to learn it.

I missed the last few episodes of the show but I was surprised at how strongly I reacted to the mothers’ rejection of the programs black contestants. They were all beautiful, educated, and by and large pretty nice girls. I dont know why I watch these shows thinking that perhaps at some point there will be a change in the way they are perceived. Personally , it only reinforced my feelings that I would never put myself in such a position to be so humiliated regardless of how wonderful the catch might seem. Jojo’s mother was a very sad individual. She clearly needs medication. Not just for how she treated the women of color but because she has such an unhealthy attachment to her son. In addition, she held all of those girls to standards that she herself would not meet if the shoe were on the other foot. As for Robbie’s mother , though her prejudices were a bit more veiled they were non the less just as damaging ultimately. Though I was appalled I was not disappointed. That is the shame.
