Genius. That’s one of my favorite books of all time.
I love Bill Bryson, he is hysterical.
Thanks Mandi! Bill Bryson taught me it’s okay to laugh out loud while reading non fiction, even if I’m riding the metro.
That’s It?!? Come on!we need more Bill Bryson news. What is going on with the movie for “A Walk in the Woods?
Yay Bill Bryson! I very rarely laugh out loud reading books, but his manage to get me every time. And there’s a movie being made of ‘A Walk in the Woods’? Awesome.
Not only am I from Des Moines, but I still live here! Baby boomers in this town won’t shut up about “The Thunderbolt Kid.”
My husband is from Iowa and he would agree 100% with that statement.
Love, love and more love to Bill Bryson. There was a period of time in high school when I devoured all his books. Though my inability to suppress my laughter proved a problem when I would read Bryson in what was supposed to be silent study hall.
Bill Bryson is hands down my favorite writer! No other author has embarrassed me by making me laugh uncontrollably in public like Bryson. I adore and idolize this writer.
