Okay, dance masters — who’s going to take home TV’s most insignificant trophy tomorrow night: the hyper-extended Brooke Burke, surprising lover of sequins Warren Sapp, or no one’s favorite ’90s boy bander, Lance Bass? This morning, I participated in AOL Television’s ‘DWTS’ Winner Predictions gallery with my prognosis: Lance. I think our little cosmonaut will surprise everyone by winning and then immediately shooting up into space with his new mirror-ball bauble. They’ll probably have to whittle his trophy into a trapezoid to make it as "edgy" as he is. Meanwhile, I’d like to nominate Brooke’s fringed pants (pictured, duh, you cannot look away) for Best And By Best I Obviously Mean Worst DWTS Costuming Atrocity Of The Season (BABBIOMWDWTSCAOTS). I agree that Lance is going to win. He really stepped up last week.
In fact, I see things shaking out exactly as they did in season 2, when we had Drew Lachey, Warren Sapp and Stacey Keibler in the finale 3. That would be a former boy bander, a likable former football player and a hot woman who’s, technically speaking, the best dancer. Sound familiar?
In fact, like season 2 I’m thinking Brooke is going to “shockingly” finish third. The bottom line, in my opinion, is that the majority of this show’s fan base (I haven’t seen the numbers, but I’m thinking it’s women) won’t really vote for another hot woman. Those are my unscientific findings. Feel free to take me down.
By the way, I would say that Kristi Yamaguchi and Kelly Monaco both overcame the “hot woman” bias because they already had pre-existing and sizable female fanbases (Monaco from her soap) that Stacy didn’t have and that Brooke doesn’t have.
Wow, I just spent WAY too much time breaking down “DWTS”. I’m gonna go do something productive now, like plant a tree or something.
Barring a major flub tonight, Brooke should win on what I expect to be Derek’s amazing freestyle. If fans vote on merit, which almost never happens, Lance should also wind up in the final two.
Following up on my moniker-less post below (or above?), predicting (hoping) for a Brooke/Lance final two, I also want to say that I hope any jealous female bias against Brooke will be offset by big love for Derek and his AWESOME choreo.
While I don’t really care who wins DWTS tonight (sacrilege, Annie, I know), I have to say that Brooke’s pants are *awesome* and can’t really be the costume atrocity of the season…can they?!? I think that it’s going to be Lance v. Brooke and Brooke will win.

I really hope Brooke wins, Lance just creeps me out. I personally hated that leather studded get up near the beginning of the season. IMHO
I hope its Lance and Lacey. I love DEREK but brooke is just not that good, and warren can’t dance at all.

I completely agree with Ceballos. I think if Lance finishes at the top of the judges’ leader board tonight, then it’s all but certain that he will be the winner. I suspect that Warren leads in the viewer votes and Lance is second, but Warren will come in third from the judges’ scores which will hurt his chance at winning. I’d like to see Warren win (for Kim’s sake), but I think it wouldn’t be fair to the other two for him to coast by on mostly personality and minimal dance talent (although despite popular opinion, I believe he has improved and does show some mastery of technical skill, even though he has a lot to work on).
I believe that Brook is the most talented of all the Dancers but Lance will probable win because it’s chic to be a Homosexual right now.
okay, TOOOOOOOOO much time is spent this show — dancing with the has-beens! one show for the dancing and another for a recap/results?? this is what is wrong with abc and other networks — original wonderful shows like Pushing Daisies get cancelled so stuff like this can stay on the air!
I would honestly like someone to convince me to watch this show. I don’t understand the appeal, but do consider myself open-minded.

I like Warren, even though he’s the less best dancer of the 3; Brooke doesn’t seem to have much personality; Lance has come on strong.
I vote Lance! I’ve been a true fan from the very beginning. He’s undoubtedly charming, charismatic, and a great showmen. Lacey is as well. The two make a great team.
Ok, I LOVE warren and kym: they’re my fave, but i don’t think they will win. Lance is my vote for the winner b/c he’s awesome, and I HATE DEREK AND BROOKE. Derek really creeps me out; i can’t even look at him and Brook is just annoying. GO LANCE AND LACEY
oh, and btw, the worst costume was brooke’s jive costume. That was not a jive costume. You don’t do the jive in a feathery bikini.
Clay Atlas, while I agree that it’s a pretty silly premise for a show, there are 15-20 million people out there who don’t agree with us, and who have made it a ratings juggernaut. ABC keeps “wasting time” on it because it’s one of the most watched shows on TV. If nobody showed up to watch the first couple of seasons, it would have gotten canned (for the same reason Pushing Daisies is going to get the ax–not enough eyeballs tuned in each week), but that didn’t happen. You can’t possibly expect ABC to arbitrarily kick a show to the curb just because you don’t like the idea behind it, and you similarly can’t expect them to keep a show that’s severely underperforming (critical darling or not) just because it has an interesting premise. It’s sad, yes, but that’s network TV for you.
I really hope that Brooke and Derek wins — they have been the most consistent and surprising. Lance’s rise just came in the last week and Warren just should not even be in the finals but is only there because people love his personality — no one says he’s a great dancer. All fans of Julianne should vote for brooke and derek as well — he’s an excellent choreographer and deserves a trophy to Julianne’s two….
Lacey Schwimmer is one of the most versatile dancers out there. She can transition from Hiphop, Contemporary, Ballroom beautifully. I respect her talent and her ambition for dance and glad that DWTS gave her a chance to continue her craft on TV. She is the face of the dance scene right now hard working kids who come out day and night to do what they love. To all the haters eat crow because she made it to the finals and she not be a size -1 but she is a talented dancers and a good choreographer!
